Overall: The best college if you wish to start your engineering career. It offers the perfect environment to study and show your skills in other fields like sports, music, dance and others.

Infrastructure: See our college was established in 1941 and till now it is one of the oldest colleges in West Bengal. The infrastructure is good but as the buildings are very old, it needs some renovation. Except this, the labs and other classes are too good and they are well modernized.

Faculty: I'm not here to say anything bad about our professors but some of them are.....leave this topic here. Most of the professors are PhD graduate and others are very much capable to teach us.

Hostel: The hostel is also good. It has only 30 beds but the inner environment is very good. Most of the students are from 3rd and 4th year. It contains free high speed WiFi and offers meals twice per day. The fees are 12000 per year.

Dear Student,

Unfortunately, diploma students from Bihar or any other state with 10th marks are not eligible for WBJEE exam. This is because the minimum WBJEE 2025 eligibility criteria requires that all students (from West Bengal or other states) must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects to get admission to B.Tech degree.

We hope this information was helpful to you. Good luck!

Dear Student,

The Government College of Engineering & Ceramic Technology admission process for its B.Tech process has not started yet. The WJEEB authorities will release the Government College of Engineering & Ceramic Technology cut off 2023 for B.Tech and the college will offer admission based on the cut off list. As the cut off list has not been publsihed yet, it is too early to comment on admissions. You may keep an eye on our Government College of Engineering & Ceramic Technology page for all the regular updates on admissions and cutoffs.

Dear Arka,

Congratulation on securing a good rank in WBJEE 2023. With 2200 rank you have a fair chance of getting admission to GCECT CSE course in round 1. If you look at the previous year cutoff trends of the  GCECT Kolkata the opening rank for the OPEN category was 1200 and the closing rank for round 1 was 2918.
