Overall: overall I can say it is a good college for study. They have designed their course curriculum in such a way that it is beneficial for everyone. campus life is very good and happening , placements are satisfying , campus is ragging free what else can anyone wanted more. It's been a pleasure to take admission in this college.
Placement: Placement record is pretty good here. we have separate placement cell here who makes us placement ready in every possible way. Last year almost 86% students got placed in campus placements. companies like TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture came here for placements. the avg annual salary package was 4-5 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: infrastructure is really good. we have separate floors for separate departments. classrooms are airy and well maintained. we have a separate library for students and faculties to borrow books. we also have well equipped laboratories for students.
Faculty: Faculties are well educated here. Almost every one of them have done their PhD from esteemed universities. They explain us each and every topic through ppts. they also guide in almost every problem regarding to study and other issues in college.
Hostel: hostel life is also good here. hostel rooms are very airy and fresh. hostel fees are 72000 a year. they provide good quality foods and ambience for students. any kind of ragging is strictly prohibited inside hostel and college campus.
Overall: Overall ratings I think is bad because placement and faculty is the key measurement to get the college get standard but this is not. Lift was in bad shape, everyone feels pathetic.
Infrastructure: When I was in college, there was a lot of issues in lift abd there is no seperate lift for students. Teachers are daily struggling to get reach to classes.
Faculty: Very poor faculty numbers and they were not compitent to teach students for placement. Lack of faculty members and not educated to teach professional for students.
Hostel: Hostel may were hygienic. Every boy and girls hostels are in hygienic but the food in hostel is ver very bad, it's not worth it. They charge a lot amount of money for staying and provide food.
Overall: I recommend GNIT Kolkata for B.Tech to those who want to get engaged in this course totally. You are going to love the environment and faculty at GNIT Kolkata. Moreover, About 75% of the students get placed every year and the fees for this course is very affordable.
Placement: GNIT Kokata’s name has become very popular over the past few years because its students are getting placed in well-known companies. Amazon, IBM, Accenture, Infosys, and TCS are some of the top companies that hire students of GNIT Kolkata.
Infrastructure: A student can enjoy campus life at the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology in Kolkata. The infrastructure includes well-designed blocks, separate labs for every department, necessary equipment in labs, a library stocked with books, hostels for boys and girls and many other facilities.
Faculty: The majority of teachers are well-qualified and helpful. Their way of teaching is appealing and they are curious to solve the problems and queries of the students. The teachers not only hold classes regularly but also arrange seminars, webinars, and practical classes to engage with students.
Hostel: Hostel facility at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology is available for both boys and girls. It will cost around 5 to 6 K per month which is to be paid per sem. The hostel is nice and had all the basic facilities like beds, water, electricity backup, wifi, etc.
Overall: I was the students of B.tech Electrical Engineering branch at GNIT and passed out in 2022. It was a wholesome experience at the college. Guru Nanak Institute of Technology is a good college in all aspects, say education, campus, placement and facilities. You will not be disappointed after passing out from GNIT.
Placement: I passed out from GNIT with an offer in my hand but later rejected it to pursue M.Tech. The college provides adequate placement opportunities to students from all branches. It is up to the students how well they can perform and grab the opportunity. Major companies that recruited EE students in 2022 were Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Pinnacle, Chegg and Maven Infotech.
Infrastructure: The main USP of GNIT is its rich campus facilities. EE branch had 3 labs and there are 2 to 3 labs for each branch such as ECE, CS and FT. The campus is spread over many acres. There is greenery all around. It has play grounds for cricket, volleyball and football. Boys and Girls Hostel, canteen and library.
Faculty: Good teachers have the capability to mould students in the right direction. The professors at GNIT were full of knowledge. They were passionate about teaching their subjects and helping students.
Hostel: The hostel is nice and spacious. There are separate buildings for girls' and boys' hostel. There are wardens for the security of students. There is also the facility for mess along with accommodation.
Overall: Whether it be academics or practicality, my college has proven to be extremely helpful to me. I belong to the Department of Electrical Engineering. The interaction with our teachers are very good. They act as prior guidance to our ideas, mindset and thought process. Amidst the various difficulties we face, our teachers come with a solution eventually. To pursue some self-research work which require certain software o do (MATLAB, ETAP, FEMM), our college provides such support very highly.
