Overall: I passed out from GNIT Kolkata in 2022 with a B.Tech degree in CSE. Guru Nanak Institute of Technology fees for my course was Rs 4.5 Lakh The faculty was very much supportive and experienced. The Guru Nanak Institute of Technology campus is big and has many buildings. The classrooms, labs and hostels are covered by fast wifi. There are many clubs and various activities are held throughout the year.

Placement: The Guru Nanak Institute of Technology placement process is conducted by the T&P cell which is very active and hard-working. GNIT has been able to maintain a good placement record over the years. Especially for CSE, major top companies are invited for placements such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, and Mind Tree.

Infrastructure: There are several buildings for different departments of GNIT. Every department has its own labs. For my department (Computer Science and Engineering), there were many labs for practical purposes. The institute has a well-functioning library with all the required books and study materials.

Faculty: The faculty of GNIT are very much experienced and their quality of teaching is excellent. The teachers are friendly and helpful. They apply both traditional and modern methods of teaching such as smart boards etc. Professors and other Industry professionals hold seminars on a variety of subjects from time to time.

Hostel: The institute has hostel facilities for both boys and girls. I too lived in the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology boy's hostel for four years. It was like a second home to me. GNIT hostel fees for a year was about Rs 36,000 per semester.

Overall: My experience at GNIT Kolkata was very nice. I was a student of B.Tech in Electronics and communication engineering. Many top companies like Wipro, TCS, and Cognizant visited our college for placements and almost 70% to 80% of students got placed back then. The environment of GNIT was very good. The teachers were helpful and supportive. The infrastructure and facilities were up to date and many seminars and training sessions were organised throughout the year.

Placement: The average placement for 2019 was around Rs 3.5 LPA. Most of the students of my batch got placed in prominent organisations like Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest package offered was around Rs 12 LPA.

Infrastructure: The campus of the college is very large and it has all the necessary facilities. The infrastructure consists of different labs, a library, common rooms for boys and girls, spacious classrooms, and many more.

Faculty: Faculty members of GNIT Kolkata are very helpful to the students. They are highly educated and cater to the needs of the students. They try their best to understand the problems and doubts of the students and give the best solutions. Apart from academic knowledge, they help the students with personality development and speaking skills which are very helpful in placements.

Hostel: GNIT hostel is nice to live in. The hostel fees per month was around Rs 5,000 per month which is to be paid half-yearly. I also paid the hostel admission fees of about Rs 4000 at the time of admission.
