Overall: I came from a small town and got admission to GNIT through Polytechnic counselling. GNIT is a very good college for students like us who are not much aware of the big cities. The college had a wholesome environment, helpful teachers, a nice campus and good placement opportunities.
Placement: The placements are very good and even during these tough COVID times, various renowned companies visited our campus like Capgemini, TCS and Mindtree. The average salary offered was 3.8 LPA. The college was very supportive throughout the placement process.
Infrastructure: GNIT has a well-developed campus and infrastructure along with various facilities to offer students. Labs are the best at GNIT to gain practical knowledge. Moreover, It has a library, various classrooms, labs, a hostel for both boys and girls and sports facilities.
Faculty: The faculty of Polytechnic was very nice and always helped the students. Even during COVID, they conducted the online sessions without any delay and supported students in those difficult times.
Hostel: Guru Nanak Institute of Technology has a girls' hostel as well as a boys' hostel. The hostels are nice and have spacious rooms. Food, water, 24x7 electricity, and security are provided in the hostel.
Overall: I had a good experience while studying at GNIT. I passed out in 2021 with a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and got placed in a very good company. There are three ways to get admission to Polytechnic, through counselling, lateral entry or directly. I got admission directly and paid around Rs 1, 50,000 for the full course which was affordable for me.
Placement: GNIT tries its best to provide good placement opportunities to its students. My batch received offers from good companies. 60 to 70% of students were recruited through campus placement. The average placement package of GNIT is Rs 3-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus has 50+ classrooms, labs for every branch of engineering, a library, hostels, canteens, and playgrounds for different games. There is a big auditorium to conduct programs. Overall the campus infrastructure of my college is good.
Faculty: The teachers in my batch were good in terms of teaching and helping students. Most of the faculty at GNIT have doctorate degrees. They were highly professional and always helped us in academics.
Hostel: GNIT has in-campus hostel facilities for both boys and girls. I did not live in the hostel but had visited it many times. The boys' hostel was well-equipped with all the required facilities.
