Guru Nanak Institute of Technology M.Tech : Fees, Courses, Eligibility, Placement & Admission 2024

Overall: I took admission at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology for pursuing M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) with GATE scores. I suggest it to other GATE aspirants as well. The college provides a comfortable learning environment and knowledgeable teachers. The faculty ratio is also good, with around six teachers over 100 students. There are 60 students in my class. They helped me a lot with my thesis. The college provides advanced facilities and good job placement opportunities.

Placement: Placement opportunities for CSE are more in comparison to ECE but still, various leading organisations have hired ECE students in past years. I am looking forward to getting placed in 2023. My seniors have told me that good placement opportunities are offered to M.Tech. ECE students. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys have visited earlier. The placement rate of the GNIT Kolkata M.Tech department is around 60 - 70%. However, It can defer. The placement cell begins training students before the placement season starts. Seminars and workshops for interviews and group discussions are held regularly.

Infrastructure: The college building was built many years ago but it has been maintained very well. The infrastructure is good. GNIT Kolkata campus is huge and spreads over many acres. It has playgrounds for outdoor activities, various labs for all the departments, a library, a canteen and many other facilities. A friendly environment is there.

Faculty: At GNIT Kolkata, the professors are very knowledgeable, supportive, and experienced. They are dedicated to giving us good education. A lot of internal and external tests and viva are taken by the teachers. We can ask for extra classes if we do not understand the topic. The teachers never deny helping us. To make learning enjoyable and successful, the faculty members use advanced teaching techniques like real-world examples, case studies, and interactive sessions. Teachers are available at all times to answer questions and give advice to us.

Hostel: I don't live in the hostel but the GNIT Kolkata hostels are kept in good condition. I have seen my friend’s room at the hostel. It is spacious and clean. Food is also provided with other necessities, such as clean drinking water, electricity, wifi, a bed, a study table, etc. Students can afford it because of the inexpensive hostel rates. The monthly fees for the hostel is around 5 K to 6 K. The warden is strict and does not let us in for more than half an hour but overall the hostel is good to live in.

Overall: I am a final year student of the M.Tech ECE branch at GNIT Kolkata. The college has well-experienced faculty members. The engineering departments of the college are well-equipped with laboratories for theoretical and practical knowledge for students. GNIT Kolkata offers internship opportunities that help students to gain professional experience.

Placement: GNIT Kolkata's placement cell is always there for students. The placement cell trains students and provides them with ample placement and summer internship opportunities. Some of the prominent recruiters of the college are Amazon, Nestle, Capgemini, Infosys, IBM, Accenture, and TCS.

Infrastructure: The campus of Guru Nanak Institute of technology has up-to-date facilities for students. Right from a well-equipped library to modern classrooms, every facility at the campus helps in the overall development of students.

Faculty: The faculty of the ECE department is very helpful. They make sure students do not face any difficulties in academics. The college has a mixed ratio of experienced and freshers faculty members. However, every teacher is full of knowledge is here.

Hostel: I live at the GNIT Kolkata boy’s hostel and I like it. The hostel has a warden, mess, indoor activity area and other facilities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Overall: I am a student of M.Tech in CSE at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology. This is my last year in college. GNIT is an awesome college for M.Tech. I have learnt a lot in these two years. GNIT has a very big campus equipped with all the basic facilities. The teachers are very good and helpful.

Placement: The average package offered at GNIT ranges from around 3-4 LPA. All kinds of companies come here but the major recruitment is from IT and CSE. Placements are average here.

Infrastructure: The campus of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology is huge about 7 acres with facilities like a library, canteen, playground, hostel, and many more. The infrastructure of the college is good.

Faculty: The faculty of M.Tech in CSE are very nice and experienced. They help us with the thesis and practicals. They also conduct extra classes whenever we need extra guidance.

Hostel: The hostel has 1 to 3-seater rooms. It's a residential campus so both boys' and girls' hostels are nearby to college and also the mess facility is available.

Overall: GNIT is one of the popular colleges for M.Tech in the Kolkata region. It offers very good placements to its students and the fees is also very reasonable. I paid Rs 2,00,00 for four semesters.

Placement: GNIT Kolkata placements for the 2020 M.Tech batch was more than enough. The average salary offered was Rs 3.9 lakh even during the pandemic. Many eminent organizations such as Capgemini, Amazon, Hexaware, etc were some of the top recruiters that visited the college.

Infrastructure: GNIT has a very beautiful campus. It has well-designed laboratories, a library, and classrooms. The colleges also have hostel and sports infrastructure for the betterment of the students.

Faculty: Faculty members of GNIT are very helpful and supportive. My classes have been conducted in online mode due to the pandemic but the teachers helped me a lot and cleared all my doubts.

Hostel: GNIT Kolkata hostel is like a home away from home. They provide very nice facilities and food to the students. The rooms are spacious and the warden is also very helpful.
