Hindu College Admissions 2024

  • Hindu College is a CUET participating college for its UG admissions. 
  • Now that the results are out, students will have to register themselves on the CSAS portal as well as with Hindu College. 
  • There will not be any centralised counselling or All India Ranks.
  • Hindu College will release its own merit list and counselling schedule based on the CUET Results. 
  • The CSAS will happen in 3 phases. The first phase was to apply to Delhi University. 
  • The second phase will begin now as the results are out. In the second phase, students have to select their preferred colleges and colleges. 
  • Students must select as many courses and colleges as possible to avoid problems during seat allotment. 
  • A DU Mid Entry Window will also open after the second round of seat allotment.
  • In the CSAS 3rd phase, students will be allotted seats. 
  • They must accept their seats before the said deadlines otherwise it will be considered a Decline of the seat. 
  • After the confirmation of the seats and the payment of the Hindu College fees, the seat will be confirmed. 

Hindu College offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the streams of Art, Humanities, Commerce, and Science. It is the dream of college of most students due to its legacy and quality courses. Until now, the Hindu College admission was based on the marks obtained in Class 12 along with the cutoff released by the University of Delhi for its affiliated colleges. Starting this year, the admissions for UG courses will be based on the scores of the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) exam. For the Hindu College PG courses admissions, students have to clear the DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test). 

Every year, the admissions to the institute begin in the month of May and the classes commence by July. However, due to the change in the criteria this year with the introduction of the CUET, admissions might be a little delayed. 

Below are mentioned some details about the CUET that the aspiring students must keep in mind for the Hindu College admission 2024:

  • Students should take the CUET exam in the subjects in which they passed their Class 12 examinations.
  • The CUET exam will be held in 13 languages to make it accessible to a vast majority of applicants. The languages will be English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Punjabi, and Assamese. 
  • To be eligible for the DU CUET exam students will have to clear their Class 12 examinations.
  • The CUET will be held in a computer-based mode and the duration will be 2 hours. The paper will be divided into three sections which will have MCQs. 
  • The areas covered will be general knowledge, language skills, and domain-specific knowledge. It will be based majorly on the NCERT syllabus.

Hindu College Admission Eligibility 2024

The eligibility criteria for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses differ. Below we discuss the criteria for the UG and PG courses respectively:

  • For Hindu College BA (H), students must clear Class 12 with a minimum of 45%. 
  • For B.Com (H) obtaining 45% is a must with compulsory subjects like Mathematics, Business Mathematics, or other equivalent subjects.
  • BA (Programme) requires a minimum of 40% in Class 12.
  • For B.Com, 40% in Class 12 is needed.
  • For B.Sc and B.Sc (H), students must clear Class 12 in the Science stream with the required percentage for different specialisations.
  • For M.Com, a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with 65% marks is a must.
  • For M.Sc and MA, students should have a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream from a recognised university.

Hindu College Admission Procedure 2024

The applications for Hindu College begin in the month of May every year along with all other colleges affiliated with the Delhi University. To be eligible to apply for the Hindu College courses, students must clear Class 12 in relevant streams with no less than 40%. Below are the detailed steps of the admission procedure for the institute:

Registration on the Common Application Portal

  • Every year when the University of Delhi, (DU) announces the opening of admissions to its constituent colleges, it opens a common application portal as well. The aspiring candidates are to register themselves on this portal first. 
  • There is a different admission portal for the UG and PG courses. 
  • After registering on the respective portals, students are required to fill out an online application form. To fill the Hindu College admission form, students must enter all necessary details such as name, phone number, choice of courses and specialisations, etc. carefully. 
  • While submitting this form, candidates will have to upload documents like Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, identity proof, photograph, etc. 
  • Once students are registered on the UG common application portal or the PG application portal, they can log in anytime to check their status of the application.

Registration for the CUET

It is important that candidates register themselves for the CUET exam since it is a compulsory step in the Hindu College admission 2024 criteria. The steps for the CUET registration are as follows:

  • Visit the official website of CUET that is cuet.samarth.ac.in
  • Click on the “Register” tab and register yourself for the CUET 2024 exam.
  • Fill out the application form with all details.
  • Upload all necessary documents in the asked size and formats.
  • Make the application fee payment. It can be done via Debit/Credit card, net banking or UPI. 
  • Save and download the duly filled form. You can also take out a printout for future reference. 

CUET Documents Required

The list of documents needed for filling the CUET application is given below:

  • Category certificates (if you belong to any reserved category)
  • Banking details of your debit/credit card or UPI to pay the fees.
  • Photo Identity proof like Aadhar card, passbook, ration card, etc.
  • Scanned images of candidate’s signature and photograph. 
  • Scanned images of Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets.
  • A valid mobile number and active email id details.

Registration for the DUET 

  • Visit the official website of DUET which is www.du.ac.in.
  • Click on the Registration tab and register yourself by entering all details.
  • Fill in a valid email id along with a password.
  • Click on “Register”.
  • Enter your username and password on the admission portal of the official DUET website.
  • Click on “PG Admission Portal 2024” or “M. Phil/PhD Admission Portal 2024” for respective admissions.
  • Fill out all the personal and academic details in the application form and click on “Submit”.
  • Upload all the required documents like scanned photographs, signature, mark sheets, caste certificate, etc. 
  • Pay the application fee and submit your form.
  • Save and download your form.

Dear Student, Hindu College comes under the Delhi University colleges and as per the guidelines issued by the university, admission in Hindu College for all UG and PG courses is conducted based on CUET scores.
