About IIT Dharwad
IIT Dharwad has started accepting applications for the academic session 2024. The registration for JEE Main 2024 session 2 is open now and the last date is March 2 for IIT Dharwad engineering admission. Candidates need to qualify JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced. BTech admission to IIT Dharwad is done on JEE Advanced basis. JEE Advanced will be held on May 26 followed by JoSAA counselling for IIT Dharwad admission in BTech courses. Further, for MTech admissions, GATE COAP 2024 second round seat allotment has been released. Candidates can check the seat allotment results of COAP 2024 through the candidate's login portal.
The Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad is an independent premier science and technology institute founded in 2016 by the Government of India under the supervision of IIT Bombay. IIT Dharwad is on the outskirts of Dharwad positioned between the Western Ghats (Malenadu) and the Deccan Planes (Bayalu Seeme). Currently, the IIT Dharwad campus is located in the WALMI (Water and Land Management Institute) campus with an area of 135 acres, which is adjacent to the Dharwad bench of High Court Belur, on the National Highway 4 that connects Mumbai-Bengaluru. IIT Dharwad's permanent campus is spread over an area of 470 acres of land, 2-3 km away from the transit campus within the WALMI campus.
Academic activity at IIT Dharwad began in July 2016, with the introduction of a B.Tech course in three main branches: computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. IIT Dharwad's current enrollment is around 60 students in each speciality. PhD programmes in all five sciences and engineering departments began in the January 2018 session, while MS (by research) programmes in three engineering departments started in August 2019. IIT Dharwad courses are based on that of IIT Bombay. It promotes hands-on engineering. IIT Dharwad admissions are done on the basis of JEE Main for B.Tech courses and GATE scores are accepted for M.Tech programmes.
IIT Dharwad facilities include Tinker's Lab, an entrepreneurial cell, a library which contains almost 2000 books and access to over 3000 academic articles. IIT Dharwad's placement process mostly starts from December to May in multiple phases. The salary offered by multiple companies in IIT Dharwad placement usually ranges from Rs 10-20 LPA every year.

Application Fee for JEE (B.Tech.):
- Male applicants from the unreserved/OBC category will be paid INR 650.
- Female applicants from the unreserved/OBC category will be charged INR 325.
- Candidates from the SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories will be charged INR 325.
- It is advised that candidates preserve their payment slips until the admissions process is concluded.
Application Fee for GATE (M.Tech.):
- For Female Candidates the application fee is INR 750 and the late application fee is INR1250.

- The Career Development Cell (CDC) delivers invitations to employers with pertinent information and connections.
- Companies who are interested must complete the Job Notification Form (JNF) available on the CDC website.

IIT Dharwad Cut Off
IIT Guwahati released the JEE Advanced 2023 result. The authorities has published a direct link to the IIT JEE Advanced result 2023 on the website, jeeadv.ac.in. Admission to the B.Tech programmes is dependent on students' performance in the JEE Advanced 2023 scores. Candidates must have a rank that is equal to or higher than the IIT Dharwad JEE Advanced cutoff 2023. Therefore candidates must meet the IIT Dharwad cutoff 2023 which is released following the announcement of the JEE Advanced results 2023. The seat allotment for IIT Dharwad B.Tech admission is based on the college cutoff, the candidate's course and college preferences. Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad Existing Campus
The present IIT Dharwad campus is located on the National Highway (NH-4) between Mumbai and Bengaluru, near the WALMI (Water and Land Management Institute) campus (135 acres), which is adjacent to the Dharwad bench of the High CourtBelur. The existing campus of IIT Dharwad is easily accessible from any place in Dharwad through regular transportation service, and all other important amenities are within a 10-kilometre radius of the IIT Dharwad campus.

The permanent campus of IIT Dharwad is about 2-3 kilometres from the WALMI transit campus. IIT Dharwad is located on the fringes of the Hubballi-Dharwad twin city in Karnataka's northwestern region.
IIT Dharwad on-campus hostel accommodations are available for all students. A well-equipped dining hall and student mess will open are also available. The Library in the Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad occupies the prime area on the first floor of the temporary campus' administrative structure. The library's octagonal design, plentiful natural light, and pleasant wind help readers feel at ease. It has high-quality furnishings and fixtures, which are extra benefits. Sports in Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad
For first-year students, IIT Dharwad offers National Sports Organization (NSO) Courses in Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Chess, Football, Hockey, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, and Yoga. The NSO course is a required academic requirement that all first-year students must complete.
IIT Dharwad's transit campus has adequate sports infrastructure. Table tennis tables, carrom boards, and chess boards are available in all hostels. The Institute has an Athletics field, a Cricket field, a Football field, a Hockey field, a Basketball court, a Tennis court, two volleyball courts, a Board room game, a Weight lifting room, and a well-equipped Gym with a part-time Gym Instructor.
IIT Dharwad's sports team has competed in the Inter IIT Sports Meet since its inception, winning its first medal in para-power lifting in 2018. IIT Dharwad sent a strong contingent of 87 players to the Inter IIT Sports Meet, which was held in December 2019 at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bhubaneswar. Furthermore, IIT Dharwad took part in the 2019 Inter IIT Staff Sports Meet.
For IIT Dharwad students, the Physical Education section also held the Inter-Department and Hostel General Sports Championship Trophy. Furthermore, Gymkhana held Culture and Technical General Championship Trophy events on a regular basis for IIT Dharwad students.

IIT Dharwad Courses
IIT Dharwad courses include undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. IIT Dharwad offers B.Tech programmes, M.Tech, MS, and research programmes across various departments. IIT Dharwad has been offering B.Tech programmes in computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering since its inception in 2016. IIT Dharwad launched a B.Tech degree in engineering physics in 2021. IIT Dharwad follows a credit-based curriculum with the semester and cumulative performance indices (SPI and CPI).
