IIIT Raichur, located in the city of Raichur in Karnataka, is one of the youngest and budding IIITs proposed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The academic activity of the institute commenced in the year 2019 in August from the temporary campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, Telangana, with its first batch being admitted to Bachelor of Technology, Computer Science and Engineering. Then, in September 2021, IIIT Raichur shifted to the Transit in GEC Yermarus Camp, Raichur, Karnataka, where all academic activities are currently taking place. The institute offers a wide range of programs like B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and also Ph.D in CSE, CCE and MC. The institute has a great placement record with many prominent recruiters coming to the campus like TCS, Amazon, Jio, Infosys, Capgemini, Maq Software, Story Express and many more.
