Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu believes in providing equal opportunities to students from all castes, tribes, and for students with financial difficulties. That is why at KPA Kohima, they strictly adhere to the following reservation policies:

• Backward tribes will be given a 15% reservation based on one tribe and one seat based on merit in the diploma entrance test.
• A 10% reservation will be granted for female candidates.
• Physically impaired candidates with appropriate papers will be given a 3% special reservation.
•  Naga indigenous residents of the state and children of government officials will also be given first preference. 

To be eligible for the diploma courses offered at KPA Kohima, students must have passed class 10 with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks with Math & Science as compulsory subjects. Moreover, they also need to be passed in both Math & Science separately.
