Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri (BIT Sindri), originally Bihar Institute of Technology Sindri, is a Jharkhand-based engineering college. BIT Sindri is one of India's oldest engineering and technological institutes, having been founded in 1949.

BIT Sindri is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University’s engineering college in Hazaribag, Jharkhand. 

BIT Sindri offers four-year BTech programmes in 10 different specializations at the undergraduate level and two-year MTech programmes in five specializations at the postgraduate level. The college also offers a three-year PhD programme.

BIT Sindri is ranked 201-250 for BTech by NIRF 2021. In 2020, ARIIA Public Institution (Govt. / Govt. Aided Colleges) ranked the college 6-25. The college was ranked 30^th amongst India’s best engineering colleges by Outlook in 2019.

BIT Sindri Admission Process 2024

The BIT Sindri admission process 2024 is set to start in October 2022. Admission to the BTech programmes is based on class 10+2 results and merit in JCECE exams. Similarly, the MTech admission 2023 is based on the relevant B.E/BTech results and valid GATE score. Ph.D. admissions are based on ME /MTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate and the university also conducts written tests and interviews. BIT Sindri Selection Process 2024

• Visit the official website.
• Proceed to initiate the registration process. Registration can be done using the candidate's name, email address, and phone number.
