National Institute of Technology Mizoram Placement Cell

The training and placement cell of the National Institute of Technology Mizoram has the vision to create employment in this competitive world and to keep walking at the pace of the fast-changing professional world. The training and placement cell manages the interactions and relationships between the college and the companies while maintaining a symbiotic relationship across the globe. The responsibilities of the T&P Cell of NIT Mizoram include, however not limited to providing the needed facilities for the recruiting companies before giving the pre-placement talks and other related events. Taking care of conveyance of the recruiters as needed, organizing and coordinating campus placement programs, working towards the students' career goals, etc.

The training and placement cell of the National Institute of Technology Mizoram also holistically work towards nurturing industry-institute interactions by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits, in-plant training, projects related to their concerned industries, encouraging innovation among the students, and much more. They look after the students' internship, corporate grooming, and the final placement of the final year students of NIT. The T&P Cell of NIT Mizoram forms the irreplaceable connection between the students and the dynamic companies.

National Institute of Technology Mizoram Placement Process

The placement process at the National Institute of Technology Mizoram has a few clear guidelines and rules. The students of NIT Mizoram have to compulsorily register for the in-campus placements if they are eligible and intend to participate in the placement drive. They are not given to communicate with the company officials directly; the training and placement cell staff would help with all the communications. The students first register with the training and placement cell as per their eligibility to participate in the placement drive. The companies also communicate with the T&P Cell to find a schedule to meet the students and conduct the placement process.

Once the dates are scheduled between the companies and the T&P Cell, they meet the students and conduct the pre-placement talks (PPT). The registered students from the National Institute of Technology Mizoram are interviewed by the company officials with the T&P Cell coordinating each part of the communication process. The students must pass the written tests, and/ or the companies set online tests. During the group discussion (GD), the students of NIT Mizoram are further assessed on their aptitude and attitude. The personal round of interviews is subject to the terms and conditions of the recruiters as they may shortlist some and not some other students of the National Institute of Technology based on their performance in all the stages.

The interviews may also be conducted online based on the mutual consent of the training and placement cell, the recruiters, and the students of NIT. Once all the necessary placement rounds are completed, the results of the interviews are declared and shared with the students.
