Shivaji College was established in 1961 by the Union Minister for Agriculture at the time, Dr Panjab Rao Deshmukh. It functions under the trusteeship of the Government of Delhi. In a 2017 study by India Today, the college was ranked among the top 10 science colleges in India. Shivaji College Delhi has been accreditated with a grade ‘A’ by NAAC and is affiliated to Delhi University (DU). Located in one of the bustling areas of the city, the commute is easy as Shivaji College New Delhi is situated near two metro stations.
The college has a very active placement cell which has been responsible for placing students in various companies and also in providing them with valuable information for improving their career prospects.
