Diploma in Optometry Technology (DOPT) is a three-year diploma course in which students are designed to teach students the different concepts of eye-health, diseases, diagnosis and treatment of the human eye. The main objective of the course is to produce trained ophthalmic personnel for rendering eye care services to the masses. After the completion of the DOPT course candidates can work with vision care hospitals as a part of a team with ophthalmologists and optometrist and contribute towards the prevention of blindness.
