M Tech Computer Science

M. Tech in Computer Science Engineering is a postgraduate program which is of a total of 2 years duration, divided into four semesters. The candidates who have pursued a degree in  Bachelors of Technology (B. Tech) in any stream can pursue a course in M. Tech in Computer Science Engineering. Through this course, the students are provided with a curriculum of the specialised concept of Computer Science Engineering with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of computer science concept. The various areas of computer science which are covered by M. Tech in Computer Science Engineering course include Network, System Integration,  Algorithms and Logic, Software Engineering, Distributed and Embedded Systems, and the Digital Systems. 

The selection of candidates for admission to M. Tech in CSE course is done either through direct admission or through a national level entrance exam such as Gate or TANCET. M.Tech CSE Admission Process

While some college offers admission to M. Tech Computer Science Engineering program on the basis of merit obtained by the student in a National level entrance exam (GATE), some of the colleges also conduct their own entrance exam for testing the eligibility of students for admission. Based on the merit obtained by the student in the qualifying exam or an entrance exam, the shortlisted candidates are called for the university level test in which their proficiency in terms of Computer Science Engineering, Mathematics Concept, Aptitude and Reasoning are evaluated. Based on the performance of the student in the entrance exam, the qualified candidates are further called for the personal interview round conducted by the colleges. Based on the overall marks obtained by the student in the entrance exam and the interview round, the eligible candidates are offered admission to the program.
