Overall: This college will assist you with your excellent knowledge and make an effort to uplift you. Overall, the college is excellent and will provide you quality faculty, so you'll have a better overall experience.

Placement: This college have a nice placement cell which will help you to regain your low confidence and will help you to interact with other teams regarding your courses.

Infrastructure: This college's infrastructure is kept up nicely, and it offers you excellent classrooms, well-equipped computer labs, and an auditorium. This offers you a pleasant setting as well.

Faculty: This college's faculty is polite and well-mannered. It will assist you with college premises and provide a comfortable environment. If you're having issues with college, you can get in touch with them.

Hostel: Nice hostels are available. They have a pleasant atmosphere and are airy. It might also provide you with a positive experience and has good internet connectivity. Food will arrive on schedule.

Overall: It's a literally good college and also from my opinion it's a best college of Kolkata. It offers every course and great infrastructure, opportunities for students to became successful.

Placement: Here placements was good. Many companies like Hero, Infosys, TCS and many more came here for hiring. Average salary package is around 15 LPA. It will change year to year.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great. Everything or everypart of college is quite good if we talk about sports area, libraries, labs, washrooms and any part of college.

Faculty: Faculties here are very knowledgeable and helpful. Always ready to solve doubts and never say no to solve any problem. Guide us through practical example and also teach us in different styles and techniques to enhance students focus.

Hostel: Mess provides good quality meals and fast-foods for students that's great part. Also college have 2 to 3 canteens. Hostel rooms was quite good it's meat and clean and also washrooms are also very clean.

Overall: The college very good as it is easily reachable and the students here are very Cooperative and you will find a great and good environment with could people around you

Placement: More than 90% of the student will get the job from here and they are well settled the college make sure that they will give a good chance to the students for job

Infrastructure: In price very good as they have comfortable classrooms with good furnitures and with proper ventilation and they also have workshops in their college for students

Faculty: Teachers and non teaching staff are very good and humble to the students as a both try to help the students as much as they can to make them field comfortable in the college

Hostel: Hostels are very good as the maintain proper sanitation all over the hostel rooms and they also provide lawn system and mail system which is very good here

Overall: I am an alumnus of Jadavpur University. I completed my MA from this university in 2021. I was admitted to the university on the basis of merit. My graduation percentage was 69% and the benchmark was set at 50%. If I talk about my experience, it has been good. I belong to a lower middle-class family and the fees set by the university are reasonable for students like us. It is recognised by UGC and the courses are AICTE-approved. It has also received an A grade from NAAC. I feel proud to state that our university has been ranked 182nd in QS Asia University Ranking 2023. It was ranked fourth in university category by NIRF in 2022. All these achievements validate the quality-education students receive from the university.

Placement: I am currently pursuing PhD while working as an assistant professor in a college. As I had different career plans, I did not take part in the placement process. However, I still remember the placement statistics. Here are some of them. Around 750 offers were received and over 620 students were placed. Many top recruiters took part in the placement drive. The total count will definitely be over 100. I couldn't recall the average package but the highest package offered in 2021 was Rs 58 LPA.

Infrastructure: I still remember an incident where i was just curious thinking about how big my university was while sitting at the canteen. I took out my phone and scrolled through the official website. The campus is spread over 96 acres of land and within the boundaries stands 35 departments, interdisciplinary schools, centres of excellence, hostels, guest houses, a central library, a daycare centre, a health centre, an amenities centre, a post office, bank, gym, open-air theatre, etc.

Faculty: I was an introvert back then and found it difficult to cope up. My HoD and professors helped me a lot in my studies and provided the requisite guidance. Dr. Bidisha Chakraborty, Dr. Sekhar Kumar Samaddar, Dr. Santanu Biswas, Dr. Ranjan Chakrabarti, Dr. Subarna Kr. Das are few of the faculty members. I will always be indebted to them.

Hostel: As the university was close to my home, I didn't opt for hostel facilities. However, I am engaged to my then classmate who lived in the boys hostel. So, I can give you a brief review. There are a total of 13 hostels on our campus, out of which nine are boys hostels. The intake capacity for boys hostel is 1250+. We also had an exclusive hostel for research scholars which is still in use. The hostel mess is taken care of by the student's mess committee.

Overall: The one thing that attracted me the most to study at Jadavpur University was how unique and accepting the culture was there. I studied M.A. in Film Studies at JU Kolkata, and it was the most amazing experience of my life. The campus was huge, surrounded by greenery, it felt like a different world once you entered the university, as the nearby commotion in the street subsides exponentially. The Jadavpur University campus is culturally vibrant, you could see, groups of students sitting on sidewalks engaged in music, poetry, acting and so much more. Other than the campus, the placement opportunities I received from the university itself were great. I secured a job as an assistant stage coordinator at a reputed theatre company. The salary package offered was Rs 3 LPA. The best thing about Jadavpur University is the programme fees. Being a government university, the fees are very cheap and no extra costs were later on added, during the session. Our exam fee was Rs 500 only.

Placement: Jadavpur University has always maintained a 100% placement rate. The engineering students secured the maximum number of placement opportunities in both government and private sectors. In 2022, a total of 100+ companies visited the campus during the Jadavpur University placement process. For PG courses such as M.A, M.Sc, etc. the average salary package offered was around Rs 2.5 LPA, to as high as 8 LPA. The Jadavpur University highest package offered to a student was Rs 1.8 CPA by Facebook. If you fail to secure a job offer from the campus placements, JU also helped with pool or off-campus placements.

Infrastructure: The Jadavpur University infrastructure was well maintained. For film studies, we had an auditorium, a screening room, a film library, two laboratories and air-conditioned classrooms with projectors for practical learning. The canteens offer delicious food at affordable prices. For us film studies students, Jadavpur University, even organised free viewing at the Kolkata Film Festivals. Hostel accommodation was available for both boys and girls, along with several options for PGs nearby.

Faculty: The Jadavpur University faculty members were extremely friendly in the film studies department. Each teacher had a unique approach to teaching their respective topics. Mainak sir and Anirudha sir taught the best. Their approach was engaging and made us indulge more in the topics. For the second semester, we also got to train under an FTII alumni on filmmaking and editing.

Hostel: Separate boys' and girls' hostels were offered by Jadavpur University and there were also a number of neighbouring PG choices. May students opt opted for PGs instead of hostels as the seating was limited and you had to take an exam, passing which admission to the hostel was granted. The Jadavpur University hostel fees were cheap, making it easy for students to afford it without hesitation. There are 1254 total beds in the hostel for boys. There are 622 beds available in Girls Hostel. These hostels are both on campus. A total of 1600 students can stay in the 13 hostels, 4 of which are for females and 9 of which are for men.

Overall: One of the best facts that the students overlook while comparing jadavpur university with other institutes, is that it provides advanced courses at nominal fees. I completed my degree in MA English in 2022 and got placed in an educational institution. The course will cost you around 1 Lakh. The university offers quality education through one of the best faculties in India. It offers a variety of clubs and societies. I was a member of the Jadavpur University Literary Club.

Placement: Jadavpur University provides good placement opportunities in most of the programmes. However, placement opportunities for MA are average. However, it is up to the students to take a chance and show their expertise to get placed. 80% to 85% of students generally get placed on a yearly basis.

Infrastructure: The ground of the main campus is vast and green. It has a good pitch for cricket lovers. The entire campus of Jadavpur University is adorned with trees and bushes. There are separate buildings for B.tech and other departments, The toilets are large and clean.

Faculty: Some of the professors are exceptionally good. I personally liked my Drama and poetry teachers. The professors are very humble, and down-to-earth and most of them are easily approachable for doubts and even jokes. This is very important in building a healthy teacher-student relationship of respect & admiration.

Hostel: Jadavpur University provides hostel facilities to more than 1500 students. There are 4 hostels for women and 9 for men. Canteen and Mess facilities are also available. Hostelers are charged very minimal monthly rent and electricity charges. A lump sum amount of Rs 3,000 is to be deposited at the time of admission as a hostel and mess advance fee. The rooms are clean and spacious. Cleanliness is maintained by the cleaning staff on a regular basis.

Overall: Jadavpur University is a great place to learn and grow. The faculty is highly qualified and supportive, and the curriculum is regularly updated. The extracurricular activities are enjoyable and well-organized, making it a wonderful learning experience.

Placement: The placement opportunities at Jadavpur University for MA students are good enough. Not many companies hire MA students. It depends on the stream you choose like students with MA in English are hired by media houses frequently.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Jadavpur University is impressive, with modern facilities and all the important buildings inside the massive campus. The university had labs that were well-equipped also. There was also free wifi.

Faculty: The faculty at Jadavpur University is knowledgeable and supportive, but sometimes they can be very strict. Well, I guess teachers are also human, after all. Overall their performance was good enough and made studies fun.

Hostel: The Jadavpur University hostel facilities include comfortable beds with daily maids. The hostel mess provides hygienic and tasty food, and you can also order a special meal for some party or something like that, but you need to pay extra for that.

Overall: When I enrolled back in 2019, the university staff were very helpful to me. They made the admission process easy, and payment was made online. Even though, because of the pandemic, I could not attend the offline classes much, it was a good experience.

Placement: The Jadavpur University has a placement cell. Thanks to the Jadavpur University placement cell, we got good placements. My friends and I got placed in MNC, and now we have just switched jobs and currently working in the USA.

Infrastructure: Jadavpur University has Hostel, Guest House, Library, Day Care Centre, Health Centre, and many other facilities. These infrastructures were all located inside the campus.

Faculty: We used to have fun online classes at Jadavpur University. The teachers were very friendly and understood pranks and did not punish us for casual pranks.

Hostel: The hostel at Jadavpur University was very comfortable to live in, and two Wardens were there to take care of our needs. There were also four guards stationed outside the hostel.
