Admission to B.E. Courses
Candidates require the scores of specific entrance exams for admission to B.E. courses. Candidates domiciled in Karnataka can give the UGCET conducted by the Karnataka government. UGCET is the Undergraduate Common Entrance Test, also known as Karnataka Common Entrance Test, conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bengaluru. 45% of the seats are filled through this test of the total intake. 5% seats of the supernumerary quota are available for the deserving economically weaker students who get the provision of tuition fee waiver.
In the case of NMIT Bangalore admission through COMED-K, 20% of the total seats are filled through this examination. COMED-K is the “Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka”. 25% of the total intake is filled through the management quota. Provisional admission started in April. 15% extra seats are approved by AICTE under the SNQ (Supernumerary Quota) for the foreign nationals/ NRI/ PIO/ students whose parents work in the Gulf countries.
