Amritsar Group of Colleges offers admission into both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of technology, management, pharmacy, law and engineering. • Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech courses at AGC should have passed their B. Tech from a recognised university.

• For admission to CSE, the candidate should have scored at least 55% marks in B.E./B.Tech (CSE/IT)

• For admission to ECE (Regular program), the candidate should have scored at least 55%marks in B.E./B.Tech (CSE/IT)

• For admission to Civil, the candidate should have scored at least 55% marks in B.E./B.Tech (Civil)

AGC Selection Process for M. Tech Courses 2020

The candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria to study M. Tech (CSE/ ECE/ Civil/ Mechanical) at AGC will have to submit their documents including their mark sheet from a recognized university. The admission is granted strictly on the basis of merit. 

• The basic eligibility criteria for admission to B. Tech courses like Civil, CSE, ECE, EE & ME is that the students should have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12, along with one of the following subjects:- Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Biology

• Valid score of AGC NEST exam conducted by the university

AGC B. Tech Selection Process 2020

Selection to B. Tech courses is strictly basis merit. Students will need to appear for counselling, post which, they will be allocated seats in  different streams in the university

AGC B. Tech Lateral Entry 2020

Students with a Diploma on the specific specialisation can also apply. However, students should note that the discipline in which admission can be allowed will be notified by the I.K.G Punjab Technical University. The candidates who have passed their Three-Years Diploma in any branch of engineering are eligible for admission under this category.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from any recognised University to be eligible for AGC Amritsar MBA admission. Graduates from any discipline or stream are eligible for the AGC Amritsar MBA programme.

All those candidates who have passed any recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics/ Statistics /Business Mathematics / Business Statistics / Quantitative Techniques as Compulsory/ Optional/ Additional Paper as one of the subjects either at 10+2 or at graduation level are eligible for MCA admission at AGC Amritsar.

All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 Science Stream or its equivalent in Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Maths from recognized Board / University / Council.

For B.Sc Fashion Designing

• All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

For B.Sc (Agriculture)

• At least 50% Marks in 10+2 with Science Subject.

For B.Sc Fashion Designing

• All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

10+2 qualified students from a recognised Board are eligible for B.Com admission at AGC Amritsar.

Students must have cleared their 10+2 examination from a recognised Board to be eligible for the AGC Amritsar B.A LL.B programme.

10+2 students from a recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% at the qualifying level are eligible for B.Com+LL.B admissions at AGC Amritsar.

Students who have completed their 10+2 studies from a recognised Board in Medical stream are eligible for B.Pharma admission at AGC Amritsar. Non-medical students (who did not study Biology at the qualifying level) are eligible to apply for B.Pharma programme offered at AGC Amritsar provided they have qualified their 10+2 exam from a recognised Board with a minimum of 55% aggregate.

The AGC Amritsar eligibility for Diploma are as follows - 

• 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board in Medical stream or

• 10+2 qualified from recognised Board in Non-Medical stream with at least 55% aggregate

The candidates who have passed the 10+2 from a recognised Board irrespective of their stream are eligible to apply for the B.A Journalism and Mass Communication programme of AGC Amritsar.

Admission to the B.Voc. programme in all the courses (Semester-I) shall be done purely on the merit in the qualifying examination (10+2 etc.)
There are three categories of candidates who shall be given admission in Semester-I of the skill-based courses under NSQF.

• Category 1: Students who have already acquired NSQF certification Level 4 in a particular Industry sector may opt for admission in the skill-based courses under NSQF.

• Category 2: Students who have acquired NSQF certification Level 4, but may like to change their trade and enter into skill-based courses in a different trade.

• Category 3 Students who have passed the 10+2 examination with conventional schooling without any background of vocational training

AGC Amritsar LL.B/B.A LL.B/B.Sc/B.Pharm/MCA/MBA/B.Com/B.A/B.HMCT/BBA/B.Tech Admission Process 2020

In order to get admission at the AGC Amritsar LL.B/B. A LL.B/B.Sc/B.Pharm/MCA/MBA/B.Com/B.A/B.HMCT/BBA/B.Tech programme, the aspirants have to appear in a scholarship cum entrance examination called AGC NEST. Based on the scores obtained by the applicants in AGC NEST, the suitability of the applicants are assessed to join the aforementioned programmes. 

AGC Amritsar D.Pharmacy/B.Voc Admission Process 2020

For admission into the AGC Amritsar B.Voc or D.Pharmacy programme, the class XIIth qualifying mark is taken into consideration and not on the basis of any entrance examination. 

AGC Amritsar B.Pharmacy-LEET/B.Tech-LEET Admission Process 2020

For B.Pharmacy-LEET and B.Tech-LEET admission in AGC Amritsar, the marks secured by the applicants in their preceding Diploma exams will be taken into consideration. 

AGC Amritsar M.Tech/M.HMCT Admission Process 2020

For M.Tech and M.HMCT admission at AGC Amritsar, the marks obtained by the applicants in their graduation level will be considered and nothing else.
