At Bankura Sammilani College (BSC) the students are endowed with all convenient amenities that make their life 'go easy' in college hours, alongside make learning more interesting. Some of the facilities include well ventilated classrooms, recreational areas, hostel facility for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor games, stocked library, seamless internet/wifi connectivity, medical facilities etc.
The institution has three hostels in total, Rabindra Chhatrabas for the SC and ST boys with seat capacity of 40, Sanhati Chhatrabas for general boys‘ hostel with seat capacity 40 and Amiya Devi Girls hostel with a capacity of 20 girls. Arrangement for hostel facility is made for girls and boys with spacious, ventilated rooms along with provision of hygienic bathrooms and kitchen.
The academic environment of the college is well-knit with a campus spreading over 4015 sq and two hostels for boys and two for girls (one under construction). The total areas of all four hostels are 5454 sq. mt. All the hostels are situated within a range of 1 Km. distance from the College. The hostel boarders, NSS volunteers, students and staff of the College collectively work to maintain the ecofriendly campus.
NCC:
A well-furnished office is allotted to NCC Unit. The NCC of Bankura Sammilani College is actively functional with 59 cadets (48 boys and 11 girls). The cadres take active participation in College annual exhibition and also observe the Republic Day, Independence Day, and College Foundation Day. Two male NCC Cadets from this College were selected to attend RDC programme at Dhaneswarpur and one NCC cadet was selected to attain army attendance at Barrackpore, West Bengal in 2013-14. Two male NCC cadets have been awarded in firing and one NCC cadet has been awarded in race in the year 2013-14.One of our female NCC cadets attends NIC camp at Indore in 2014-15. Three NCC cadets have joined in Army.
The College has three NSS units with a well-furnished office with computers and internet facility. Two male NSS volunteers from this College were selected to attend 7 days Adventure Programme at Matha Forest Range Office, Bagmundi, Purulia. Nomination of NSS volunteer for the forthcoming visit of Indian Youth Delegation to various Countries during 2015-16 was submitted (by hand) to Sri P. K. Patnaik for Samapti Sinha Mahapatra (Female NSS volunteer) for Dance, Music (vocal) & Rangoli making. She was accompanied with Miss Trisha Mishra & Mr. Sumanta Kar. It is worth mentioning that Samapti Sinha Mahapatra represented India in BRICS ( Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) youth summit held at Kazan (Russia) from 01.07.2015 to 08.07.2015 along with 03 other selected NSS volunteers from India. She also had been selected in the ?Republic Day Parade 2014‘ held at New Delhi. Trisha was asked to fill up the nomination for IG NSS Award for 2014-15 session & also asked to submit nomination for Indian Youth Delegation to various Countries for Dance, Music (vocal) & Rangoli making section. We are proud to announce that Trisha Misra has been selected for IG NSS Award for 2014-15.
Infrastructure: Interesting to raise this institute.Is average buildings are not very much creatively made?They are good area for sports.Is there area for library is there but little congested
Hostel: Hostile facility is average in nature.It is congested because of the number of students are more than the number of rooms.Available label food quality is really nice.And hygiene is maintained here
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very important in every college . But the best interesting thing is the colleges infrastructure is very very good . And I also like this infrastructure
Hostel: Hostel situation is not very good but it is my favourite home. Where's I got some good friends for study and enjoy . They always support me in each and every time.
