Overall: Chandigarh University was an amazing experience for me. The campus is sprawling and modern, with state-of-the-art facilities that cater to all aspects of student life. The faculty members are knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to help students succeed in their academic endeavors. One thing that stood out to me was the emphasis on practical learning. The university offers numerous opportunities for hands-on experience through internships, projects, and industry interactions. This really helped me bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. Moreover, the extracurricular activities at Chandigarh University are diverse and vibrant. From sports events to cultural festivals, there's always something exciting happening on campus. This not only helped me unwind and relax but also encouraged me to explore new interests and talents. Overall, my time at Chandigarh University was enriching and fulfilling. I gained valuable knowledge, skills, and memories that will stay with me for a lifetime. I highly recommend this institution to anyone looking for a holistic education experience
Overall: Don't depend too much on faculty members, hod and department. Make your own effort to build your career, neither you will regret it later. Surely they have tie up with some good MNC but you have to clear it with all your efforts. No other is their to listen your weakness. Overall, its a good place where you can showcase your skills and get placed.
Placement: They have some criteria which they circulate in Placement group and provide every facility to students to get placed and sometime they call to local companies of Mohali to hire their students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite impressive of you looking towards the main campus, South block. But for BCA and MCA students, North campus infrastructure is not so good to get well connect with.
Hostel: There is several shortage of electricity for almost 2 to 3 hour in a day, But you have a very neat and clean hostel facility. It is quite attractive if you look into CU hostel like ZAKIR A, B and C tower.
Overall: If you want exposure as well as learning, then CU might be a good option for you. The university has a very colourful college life if I put it my words. From academics to sports and from fun to learning, the university offers it all. Some of the events that are held at the university are Bollywood nights, international and national conferences, debates, sports competitions, as well as youth summits. Industry visits are also held as per the courses. Hostel accommodation is also provided by the university for boys and girls. The placements have good packages. The average CTC is Rs 8 lakh which is much higher as compared to other private universities in the region.
Infrastructure: The campus area of Chandigarh University Punjab, is huge. It is spread across 250 acres. The classrooms are spacious and most of them have projectors. The labs and libraries are also well equipped and maintained well.
Faculty: My professors were good. No doubt that some of them were a little extra strict, but their teaching methods were nice. Most of the topics were cleared in the first lecture for that topic. However, if we requested our teachers, they were always willing to take another lecture on the same topic. Many of the teachers had research papers published under their names.
Hostel: Hostel rooms are available in AC and Non-AC categories. After this, there is a further division which starts from single sharing and goes up to 5-seater rooms. However, for girls, only 3-seater and 4-seater rooms are available, which I personally found inconvenient. The hostel fee starts from Rs 1,20,000 and goes up to Rs 2, 10,000. Overall, the hostels have all facilities like a canteen, a laundry, a gym, a shopping store, a saloon, an ATM, a medical room, and the list goes on.
Overall: Having attended Chandigarh University and earned a BCA there, I can attest that it is one of the best universities in India for providing a student-centric curriculum which provided appropriate theoretical and practical training. CU had a huge fully air-conditioned computer centre, with hi-tech amenities and all the updated software. WiFi was available 24x7 not only in the labs but in the whole campus. The BCA placements were also good. I was able to secure a job offer from Tech Mahindra as an analyst with an entry-level package of Rs 3.80 LPA. Overall the campus is great, we had access to all the facilities, the Chandigarh University faculty members were very cooperative and the fees were reasonable. The fee for BCA was Rs 1,31,000, per year.
Placement: Nearly 100% of students from our batch were placed. The Chandigarh University BCA highest package offered was Rs 8 LPA. Wipro, Tata Technologies, HDFC Bank, Birla Soft, Panasonic and Mindtree were the top hiring firms. In our programme, almost all of the students secured internships. Most of the offers were made for the position of representative.
Infrastructure: The university has a first-rate infrastructure, which includes modern classrooms, labs, and athletic facilities. The Chandigarh University campus is a fully residential establishment, making housing available to all students. There is plenty of area for seating in the vast lecture halls and classrooms. The classrooms, laboratories, seminar halls, auditoriums and libraries are fully air-conditioned.
Faculty: Overall, Chandigarh University's faculty is one of its strengths. They were dedicated to giving us a top-notch education and are constantly seeking out innovative approaches to enhance the educational process. The course material is updated and majorly practical based, which helped us prepare for the workplace. The pass rate for semester examinations is 55%, and the tests were moderate.
Hostel: The dormitory or hostels of Chandigarh University offers single, double, triple, quad, and quadruple sharing options. There are both AC and Non-AC hostel rooms available, depending on which the prices will vary. The multiple-sharing dorm room costs the least, which was Rs 1.07 lakh and is solely available for male students. The rooms were hygienic and cleaned regularly.
Overall: I am a BCA student at Chandigarh University, and my whole experience at the university has been good. Chandigarh University is located about 25-26 km from the city centre. The institution offers a wide range of extracurricular activities. I was admitted based on the CUCET exam. The admissions process was simple, and the university gave plenty of assistance and support. Chandigarh University also awarded me a 50% scholarship, which considerably reduced the financial pressure of pursuing degree. The university provides a variety of scholarships based on academic achievement and other factors, making higher education more affordable to a wider range of students.
Placement: Chandigarh University's high placement record is one of its unique traits. The university has excellent links with reputable companies, and the placement services department works hard to connect students with job prospects. The highest salary offered during placements, Rs 54 LPA, indicates the possibility of a excellent career after graduation. Students were offered almost 6000 jobs.
Infrastructure: Chandigarh University boasts a modern and well-maintained campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The classrooms have advanced audio-visual aids, providing an optimal learning environment. The library is well-stocked with a wide range of resources, and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled, ensuring students can always access digital learning resources.
Faculty: The faculty members at Chandigarh University are knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to nurturing the potential of every student. There are teachers who hold PhD degrees while others have many years of experience in the industry. The faculty members are easily approachable, encouraging students to seek clarification and guidance whenever required.
Hostel: The hostel facilities at Chandigarh University are great. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-furnished, providing a comfortable living space for students. The hostels have round-the-clock security. The mess facilities offer a variety of nutritious meals, catering to different dietary preferences. Hostel rooms can be shared on single, double, triple, and quad basis. The price varies depending on the room you choose.
Overall: Do you want to get 100% scholarships? If yes, then you need to score in the 1% of the scholarship cum admission Test CU-SAT. Well, I was not fortunate enough to get a scholarship. I got admission to BCA, a three-year course offered by Chandigarh University in a regular mode of study. The course fee was Rs 65,500 per semester.
Placement: The placement cell at Chandigarh University is really awesome. I am very satisfied with the placement opportunities I got. During the placement drive, I got two offers one was from Toshiba, and the second one was from HP. I picked HP, and I am very happy at my job.
Infrastructure: We had access to one of the biggest library networks. With 85,000 physical books and 850000 e-books, the Chandigarh University library was my favourite spot before my semester exams. My friends and I used to hang out in the Chandigarh University canteen, which was just 10 mins walk away from our classrooms. The canteen had various packed food, and there was also fresh food like dosa, samosa, maggie, chicken, and more.
Faculty: The Chandigarh University faculty were highly qualified. All my professors were PhD qualified and were really good at delivering lectures. They were not like other teachers who just taught from the notes. My teachers were very interactive and always tried to solve the problems of students. Some of the faculty members that I am still in touch with are Dr Sugandhi Midha, Dr Nikhil Attri, Dr Leena, Dr M.S Pathania, Dr R S Bawa, Dr Sugandhi Midha, Dr Nikhil Attri, Dr Leena, Dr M.S Pathania, and Dr R S Bawa. They were my mentors.
Hostel: The Chandigarh University hostel is available in single, double, triple, quad and quintuple sharing. The cheapest hostel room is available at Rs 1,06,800, which is the quintuple sharing only available for boys hostel. The hostel rooms are available in both AC and non-AC rooms.
