Chandigarh University requires applicants to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Placement: i have paid ₹10,000 extra for my last 5 semesters as DCPD course fee which will train and allow students to sit in placement. Only DCPD opted students can sit in placement drives. placement is mediocre and ranges from 3 LPA to 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for the automobile engineering is good as we get good labs and equipments for experiment and learning and classes are okay not much high-tech. We have metal benches that look like park seats and granite table top which is very uncomfortable to sit. Labs are filled with cars and car related equipments which actually do work so full marks for labs.
Hostel: Hostel facility is provided as an option but the hostels are very small and the 4 seater 5 seater option are available. Mess food is bad and boring to eat. You get charged 100000-140000 yearly. They basically made 3 seater rooms as 4 seater so it's cramped.
Overall: The infrastructure of the university is five stars, as it has very bright labs, and also the library and campus are so beautiful and engaging. The hostels are very subtle and well-maintained, and their facilities are surely satisfactory.
Placement: An internship is provided by the college in its very own hospital, which provides good working experience and a stipend too. You mostly get to work in the operation theater with other medical staff as a surgical team.
Infrastructure: The college provide best facilities and infrastructure. lush green campus, Modern and well equipped laboratories. Spacious and well ventilated class rooms are there. Wi-fi enabled campus.
Hostel: No hostel is provided in our college.we have to stay in pg provided by our college.pgs are good and the average rent of pg is 6000 and we can go to college by metro or local train and the transportation is good for our college
Overall: Chandigarh University is a new-age university. It has a modern outlook towards teaching, placements, as well as overall student development. The crowd at the university is very diverse. You will make friends with students from all across the world, who will have different ideologies and perspectives. The teachers at the university are helpful. They also have good teaching methods which ensures that we are clear with every concept. As far as placements are concerned, the placement cell at CU provides ample training before the final placements. This helps in confidence-building. The campus is huge, it is spread across 250 acres and has any and every facility one can name of. From an on-campus saloon to a shopping store, the university campus has it all.
Placement: As soon as the final year starts, the placement training also begins at the university. More than 900 companies and MNCs visited the campus during the placements for my batch. The placement rate was 80% and I got placed at Amazon, with a CTC of Rs 4 lakh per annum.
Faculty: The academic model at CU is unique. The teachers use this model as well as their teaching experience and deliver each lecture dedicatedly. Not many know that CU is the Coordination Office of the UN, in India, and some of my faculty members were also appointed in charge of the same.
Hostel: On-campus hostel accommodation is there for both boys and girls. The hostels are of supreme quality. A study table and a chair is provided in every room for us to study. The beds are also decent and the wi-fi connectivity is good. There is a geyser in most of the rooms as well as a common TV room. For our grooming needs, we also had a saloon within the campus along with a shopping store for the daily need items.
Overall: Chandigarh University offers a growth-oriented environment as well as good placements. The university is very professionally driven. There are corporate advisory boards which educate us from time to time about the latest trends in the market. Companies like IBM, Microsoft, and, Oracle are in constant touch with the university for various career opportunities. The campus is huge and clean. Every facility is available on the campus itself. There is a cafeteria, a gym, a saloon, a laundry service, seminar halls and auditoriums as well. The teachers and other staff is good and they are dedicated towards the students. Quality placements are provided at CU and the packages are really high. The highest CTC goes up to Rs 54.75 LPA.
Placement: There is a placement department at the university which handles all the placement activities. The members of this cell conduct activities like inviting experts for guest lectures, conducting industry visits, helping us with resume preparation, as well as conducting mock interviews. The overall highest CTC is around Rs 54 lakh per annum and the overall average CTC is around Rs 8 lakh per annum. Many reputed MNCs come to the campus during the placement season.
Infrastructure: There are many blocks in the university, like the academic block, the sports block, the hostel block, etc. The campus is very well-constructed and has modern facilities. The cafeteria is spacious and the items available are fresh and affordable. Many basic cuisines are also available in the canteen.

The professors are consistent and punctual in taking the lectures and try their best to give individual attention to our progress. Some of my teachers had almost 25 years of teaching experience which really reflected in their teaching style. Talking about the curriculum of the university, it is very relevant to today’s world. It is simply industry-oriented and the topics covered are up to date.
Overall: Chandigarh University is one of the best private universities in Punjab. The university is popular for its good placement offers, vibrant college life, and, quality education. The popular courses offered at the university are B.Tech, B.Sc, B.Arch, B.Com, LLB, B.Pharm, M.Com, MBA, etc. Admission to most of the courses is based on the CUCET test conducted by the university. Hostel: Chandigarh University has some of the best and most modern hostels in Punjab. The university has different hostels for boys and girls. Students are provided with every amenity at the hostel to make them feel at home in the hostels. Some of the facilities provided in the hostels include gym services, a guest room, a saloon, a canteen as well as a night canteen, a reading room, common rooms, 24/7 electricity supply as well as 24/7 wi-fi facilities. The hostels are very well maintained and they are cleaned from time to time. The overall hostel life of the university is vibrant.

The university not only aims to train and develop its students, but, the faculty members are also trained from time to time. For example, in 2022, the university conducted an International Faculty Development Programme where many reputed international faculty members were invited to the university. Guest lectures were held and the faculty members shared their teaching approaches and discussed suggestions for improvement. Further, the student faculty ratio of the university is 14:1 which is a very suitable ratio since every child gets individualized attention.
