Overall: Hey all! I am a proud alumnus of Chandigarh University and would like to provide you a brief review of the university. So, starting from the university’s environment, it is very vibrant and positive. Students and staff are seen all day round engaged in various academic and recreational activities. Many events are also held from time to time like Bollywood nights, Youth summits, conferences, trips, seminars, etc. The teachers are friendly and helpful. They would always be ready to lend a helping hand. Talking about the placements, the university breaks its own records every passing year. The average package offered is around Rs 9 lakh per annum.

Placement: The placement rate at the university is around 80%. The highest CTC offered touches Rs 50 lakh per annum. For my batch, the majority of the students were placed in firms like Amazon, Adobe, and, Microsoft. I am also presently working as an engineer at Microsoft. However, I must say that the placements are not at all guaranteed if your academic record is not good enough.

Infrastructure: Chandigarh University has a beautiful campus. Its not only huge, but it has any and every facility one can think of. There are stadiums, libraries, cafeterias, as well as hostels. The hostels even have a saloon, a shopping store, and a sick room.

Faculty: The university has a culturally diverse population, be it for the faculty members or the students. So all my teachers were really good. They were like our friends only and always used to guide us for what can be best for us in our fields. For every 15 students roughly, we had 1 faculty member. This made sure that the teachers are giving individual attention to every student. Moreover, the curriculum was very up-to-date. It covered theory as well as practical aspects.
