Overall: Hello all! I am a pass out of Chandigarh University Punjab. I did my B.Tech from the university and graduated in 2021. The faculty of CU is one of the best features of the university. Many of them are PhD holders. Moreover, you will witness unity in diversity at the university. Students from more than 80 countries study at the campus for every batch and reside in coherence at the hostels. For the placements, the CU placement cell provides ample training. From mock interviews to aptitude tests, they conduct a lot of activities. Although, the fees is a bit on the expensive side, but the university provides value for money too.

Placement: CU is one of the top QS-ranked universities. This is partially due to its academic quality and partly due to its good placement rate. More than 9,000 companies visit the campus during the placement season. B.Tech and MBA usually have the highest placements. For B.Tech, the highest CTC goes up to Rs 54.75 lakh per annum and for MBA, the package goes up to Rs 28 lakh per annum. I got placed at Microsoft for a package of Rs 5 lakh per annum.

Infrastructure: Infrastructurally, Chandigarh University has one of the best campuses in Punjab. The university has numerous facilities. There are huge sports grounds for games like cricket, basketball, badminton, and volleyball, to name a few. There is a well-stocked library which has books and journals for all courses.

Faculty: The teachers at Chandigarh University are very nice. All of my teachers were like our friends. They were well-versed in their respective fields and used to teach us with utmost dedication. We were assigned a lot of assignments and practicals. But, most of them were interesting and fun to do. Some senior teachers had almost 20 years of teaching experience.

Overall: Chandigarh University has a culturally diverse population and is a student-centric university. The reason I say this is because there are more than 26000 students at the university who come from different countries across the globe. This diversity itself helps one to expand his horizon of knowledge. The curriculum and overall academic model at CU is unique. Unlike any other university, it does not stick to theory only. Practical learning is given equal importance. The staff and students are very cordial. For placements, the rate is 80% and out of that, B.Tech and MBA students bag the maximum offers.

Placement: Thousands of MNCs and other reputed firms come to the campus for hiring. Some of the companies which have associations with the university are Microsoft, IBM, and, Oracle. Packages for MBA touch as high as Rs 28 LPA while the average CTC at the university is Rs 8 LPA.

Faculty: I strongly believe that a university is made by its professors. The teachers at the university are dedicated and competent. All of my batch’s professors were well-versed in their subjects. They gave us quality assessments and monitored our progress from time to time. Moreover, the curriculum and teaching approach is nice. Internships are also offered for some courses which gives an edge to our learning. However, the administrative staff could be improved a bit.

Hostel: Some of the best memories are made in the hostels. The Chandigarh University hostels are supremely nice. They have everything a student can ask for. I was surprised to see that there was an on-campus saloon and shopping store at the university. Such facilities made it very easy for us to fulfil our daily and personal needs. Apart from this, other facilities included a geyser, a water cooler, wi-fi, reading rooms, TV rooms, a sports area, a gym, etc.
