Overall: Hey all! I am Sakshi, a BE in CSE graduate from Chandigarh University. My overall experience at the university was decent, but not so exceptional. I will list down some of the highlights of my experience for all of you aspiring fellows. So the infrastructure of the university is really good. There are hostels, cafeteria blocks where we have chains like Dominos and Subway, a good library, wi-fi, as well as computer labs. The faculty is varied. Some teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable, while others also lack basic communication skills. Coming to one of the most important aspects which is placement, the placement rate is decent, but not as amazing as one may expect. The average placement involves firms like TCS and Wipro coming in with placement offers of around Rs 3 lakh per annum. However, if you are looking for a vibrant college life, then this could be a good choice for you.
Placement: The placements at the university are very varied. While the highest CTC is around Rs 54.75 lakh per annum, the maximum of my batch mates received an average placement offer of around Rs 25 K per month.
Infrastructure: The campus has a huge area of around 250 acres. All modern facilities are easily available at the university. We had canteens, hostels, saloons, a gymnasium, greenery, sports fields for cricket, basketball, and, badminton, and a huge library which had books for all resources. You can also use the library to study late at night during exams.
Hostel: There are separate hostels for males and females. The hostels are clean and quite good. There are attached canteens and mess but the food served there is not so good. So most of us used to resort to Subway, Dominos, or Pizza Hut. You can easily get facilities like wi-fi, electricity backup, a gym, and, saloons, at the hostels.
