Overall: Overall the degree is useful and the University provides a good curriculum with lab practices. Attendance is compulsory and the load of assignments is little bit high. The Department provides seminar webinar and expret talks in a daily basis.
Placement: The placement scenario is not that goof in case of forensic science although the University has a separate placement cell and each Department has a placement coordinator who will assist every student for placement interview.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is no doubt awesome with high facilities labs and ac classrooms with digital as well as normal board.E rikshaw service is there for transport.
Faculty: The Department itself has near about 20 highly qualified faculties who are very helpful and experienced in this field. The HOD is one of the most experienced and humble person. Most of the faculties have multiple research paper and patent on Their name.
Hostel: Separate hostels are available for boys and girls with high facility mess and the hygiene is routinely checked. Dispensary is also there for any kind of medical support along with ambulance. Every hostel has a warden and also floor Incharge. Hostels are totally ragging free.
Overall: Chandigarh University is a leading education institution (not located in Chandigarh as a matter of fact) in the private institution sector in India .They offer a diverse range of programs but not all (forensic science for example) are as well administered and managed as specialised courses like biotechnology and BE . But there are plenty star nights and music events that will keep you entertained. The 75% minimum attendance criteria could land you in big troubles sometimes.
Placement: Course like BE and BBA have good placements and a lot of companies come for campus selections and some offer very high packages to the extraordinary students but other courses do not have that many companies coming to campus. The placement sometimes are different from the course chosen.
Infrastructure: Modern architectural infrastructure. Fountains and big gardens . The academic blocks are pretty well maintained and it’s a clean campus. Segregated dustbins everywhere. Almost all blocks have a small canteen and lots of food outlets nearby. Classes have projectors installed but sometimes they don’t work or have technical issues. The seating systems are decent.
Faculty: Almost all faculties are PhDs and some are pursuing PhD. The lectures are informative and you’ll learn something new everyday. Although not all are experts of the subject they are teaching so they rely on ppts to teach but the content they share is usually sufficient to pass exams .
Hostel: Hostels are almost the same everywhere. You can Find three sharing to four sharing rooms . Boys hostels have more facilities than some girl hostels. Rooms are okay. The mess food is not a health hazards most days. There are several hostel buildings but your hostel building can be very far from the academic block your classes will be held in. There’s also transportation facility inside the campus now so it’s easier.
