Overall: When I first joined the college it was a little hard for me to adjust to the surroundings as everything was new to me. I have never been that far from home for such a long period of time. the first day of college only made me realize that I have picked the correct college for my future. The way we were welcomed and all the faculty members were all just so inviting that it did not feel like I was going to a new place and meeting new people. This academy has one of the best if not the best equipment and professional faculty with years of experience in the industry. This college has taught me how to present myself to the world. I was a very lazy person before joining the college but once I came here i realized just how important it is to be on the tip of your toes at all times. The grooming standards set by the college are very similar to what you would see in the real world of hospitality. We have not only been trained to handle real life crisis in the kitchen but also taught how to be vocal with the guests by insuring we have cyclical interactive classes as well. I do not regret my choice of joining this college and I believe that if you have a choice, you should check out the college. They also have a very interactive social media presence as all the classes that are conducted are recorded and posted online for the world to see and learn as well. The amount of world records this college holds is something super extra-ordinary, the students, the faculty, the HOD, the principals mindset, we all have the same mindset which is to win. once you come for the college tour you will see the endless number of trophies this college has won over the years from various different colleges and different organizations both national and international. I recently myself went for a competition in christ university Bangalore where we won the 1st place in accommodation management and 2nd place in event management and secured an overall 2nd place in the HAT competition held by the Christ University every year. My classmates and even my Faculty were all so helpful during the preparation for the competition and that really helped me secure the spots i secured in the competition.
Placement: Most colleges offer 100 percent placements but it is different with culinary academy of India as most of the college alumni are heading departments in big hotels and institutions like ITC hotels, TAJ, Oberoi hotels etc. All the top leading hotel chains in the country have great relations with the college and come for campus placements every year and offer MT Programs to us and it's amazing how much hardwork and dedication is required to crack these MT programs and the college prepares us from day one when we are in 1st year till the last day when we are in 3rd year. A lot of hotel and resort chains prefer students from our college because of the impression the previous batch of students leave in the interviews as well as while working on the job.
Infrastructure: The college begun in 1996 and has reached great heights from the old days where the college was just a 1 floor building and now in 2025 is a 8 floor building consisting of 7 kitchens with the best equipment and latest technology which helps the students in learning the fine art of cooking. 2 amazing restaurants with all the restaurant and bar equipment for students to learn the Food And Beverage related skills that the college teaches. The SDH ( student dining hall ) where all the students sit together and eat our lunch which is also cooked by the college students. Amazing classrooms which can accommodate the students comfortably where we can all learn and share our knowledge.
Faculty: The faculty is very well educated on the subjects they head and all of them have a lot of past experience with top hotels in the country. They are really patient with us and never force us to be quick and finish the task as soon as possible but instead they are really patient and help us understand the history and the process of making the food. The chefs all are from different regions of India which also helps students feel comfortable being around them and also racism is practically zero and ragging is frowned upon and faculties take really strict action against students who do.
Hostel: The hostel is exactly how you would expect it to be. 3 floors of rooms and halls with bunk beds all around the place where all the students sleep. The hostel being really close to the college really comes in handy as not a lot of time is wasted in travelling and instead that time can be used for better things like reading, writing etc. the hostel rules are strict where no outsides are allowed to enter the hostel at any hour of the day making it a very safe place for the students to stay at. There are curfew times that the students need to follow, these curfews are also put in place for the safety of the students. Strict action is taken against students who break any rules, like smoking or drinking in the hostel premises which is a rule break.There is a hostel warden with the students at all times incase they need assistance with anything. Everything combined it is a great experience that every student should go through.

Culinary Academy of India, Hyderabad offers a three years Bachelor of Catering Technology and Culinary Arts program. You must have completed 12th from any recognised board to get eligible for admission. The age limit for admission to the program is 17 years. Admission will be done on the basis of your performance in the All India Entrance Examination held in HYDERABAD followed by a Group Discussion Round and Personal Interview. The exam will cover questions from English, Reasoning, and Hotel Management. You are advised to improve your communication skills and grammatical skills. Besides this, you should have good knowledge of hotel management operations to perform well in the exam.
