• Candidates looking for B.Tech admission at GGSCMT, Punjab must have completed 12th examination with mathematics and physics as main subjects along with any of the Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Information Technology/ Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies as an additional subject
• He must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in case of general category and 40% in case of any reserved category. 

B.Tech(2nd Year)

• Candidates looking for admission directly in the second year of B.Tech must have passed diploma in any branch of engineering with at least 45% marks in case of general category and 40% in case of any reserved category
• Those who have cleared B.Sc degree from any recognised university or institute with at least 45% marks in case of general category and 40% in case of any reserved category and passed 12th examination having mathematics as the main subject.
