Overall: This college have good infrastructure with well furnished classes and also have vast area of campus. Faculty have good knowledge of their respective subjects.
Overall: The college have good infrastructure and have all necessary facilities and equipment and have good classroom laboratories labs sport area, hostels for boys and girls.
Overall: I had the privilege of studying Aerospace at IIST, and I must say, it is truly a hidden gem of Indian education. Despite its excellence, it's surprising how many Indian students are unaware of this prestigious institution.
Infrastructure: We have to travel 2km to go to the football ground and the swimming pool is located outside the campus which is very far other than that every aspect of it is good
Faculty: Academically, IIST has great faculty, almost all professors have worked or working in ISRO they have great practical knowledge and they are so passionate about teaching
Hostel: We get a spacious room with two people per room and the bathrooms are okay we get hot water and they are clean, we don't have an air conditioner though it will get boiling in summer
Overall: All events and festivals will be held on campus. Onam is celebrated grandly. Every even semester, we have Dhanak Fest, which is highly celebrated. Environment made crazy.
Placement: 85% of the students have been placed. Due to the limited number of students at IIST, all of them have excellent placement opportunities. If you have a CGPA of 7.5 or above, you have the chance to be recruited by prestigious companies such as ISRO, Bosch, Benz Mahindra, Tata, and more.
Infrastructure: The campus will have 24/7 medical facilities available. There will be two white canteens on the premises. All types of sports courts will be accessible including inter-house tournaments held annually. The mess will serve both north and south Indian varieties and the campus will be filled with greenery.
Faculty: Experienced and qualified faculty teach at IIST, with an eco-friendly approach. Semesters are tough, but provide a bright knowledge that makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage of students is 80%.
Hostel: hostel goes beyond the basics, offering exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and security. It stands out with unique features, excellent customer service, a vibrant social atmosphere
Overall: Nice people but food is not nice . It’s all about study here . Lot of assignments and good quality education is provided with people giving proper guidance
Placement: ISRO placements if you get good grades both enough marks for your help in your life and then will be given to you in the order and you can help you with
Infrastructure: Good infra , nice building and proper infrastructure, good enough labs and peoper are loving the ac here , if u want to see good high class infrastructure come here
Hostel: Good hostel and I have to get my money done by the time you come back. Good food and people were just asking if u was going out there since they had to come in the morning to go back.
Overall: We get continuous exposure here to multiple scientists from ISRO. Our syllabus is focused on space science and rocketry. Syllabus is comparable to any IIT's and so is the level of examination. The faculty are also excellent and engrossed in research in their respective fields. Campus Life is fine with a few restrictions. Security is also high which can be a little inconvenient but the CISF staff are extremely friendly. We have a sattelite ground station and a lab where work is done on Nano sattelites and new propulsion systems. Also there are well equipped labs for all aerospace and Avionics applications. Club culture is also developing in the campus with active clubs for robotics, aeromodelling, social service, yoga and many newer ones.
Placement: Till batch of 2024, students had to sign a bond ensuring that they join ISRO on securing 7+ CGPA. So placements where very less. Now the bond has been removed and now students would have to go through an interview to join ISRO. So now more emphasis is being given on placements. Most companies coming in are space based startups. Once the bond is removed, more companies may come in.
Infrastructure: Being built in a hilly region it is extremely beautiful with two ponds, beautiful buildings, one central garden, and 12 hostel blocks, 4 academic blocks, 1 massive, well equipped library, 1 Administrative block, curvy, inclined roads weaving all these together. There is a student activity center (SAC) building which houses TT Courts, indoor badminton courts, chess and carrom and pool tables, A gym and the main mess. Adjacent to it is a Multipurpose hall, and an open air theatre. Sports facilities include a basketball court, Volleyball court, A newly built football turf and a large football ground on a hill top adjacent to the campus. Also there is a medical office and a cafetaria within the campus. The campus is relatively small compared to IITs but for the meagre strength of 1500 from B.Tech to PhD the facilities are adequate.
Faculty: This is the true highlight of IIST. The faculty are excellent and the student to faculty ratio is about 6 students per faculty. Each of the faculty have multiple scholars pursuing their PhD under them and we also get to regularly see research papers and patents in our faculty's names. Some are also actively associated with ISRO and we also have guest faculty from ISRO.
Hostel: There are 12 hostel blocks. First year students will get 3 sharing rooms while 2nd year onwards the rooms are 2 sharing. Each room has one bed one almirah and one study table+ chair for each student. WiFi is available in all hostels and any maintainence work is resolved quickly after complaint is placed. There are no restrictions on entering and leaving the hostel (except for first year students). The boys hostels are seperate for each batch but girls have a single hostel for all batches. Ragging is almost non existent and seniors are very supportive to their juniors. It is very safe for the girls as it is a small and secure campus. CISF security ensures no safety issues occur within the campus. Mess works on booking basis so students pay only for the meals they eat. Overall I've had no problems with the hostels.
Overall: Nice college for aerospace enthusiasts and is best for space study in India . Nice hostel big rooms and cooperative warden. Great study but sometimes is hectic . Fests like dhanak and conscientia are conducted annually. Different clubs and teams are there . During fest people can experience sales work publicity work hospitality work etc by joining respective teams.often many scientists from isro come to give a Ted talk . Iist director is same as vssc (Vikram sarabhai space centre)director
Placement: Max alumni are working in isro. Now bond has also been removed so it's not compulsory that if u have above 7.5 cgpa then u have to go to isro . U may join any company now.
Infrastructure: Sports facilities little less. Although new facility are opening like new basketball court was made recently. New football turf was also made Academic building are good . Library is the best part of iist .
Faculty: Teach in English . They are cooperative and teach good . They are always ready to clear the doubts of students and are good in nature. If u are serious they will try to teach everything they know
Hostel: Nice hostels bigger rooms than other colleges . Toilets are also clean. Sometimes there is water problem but after complaining it gets right so yes they are nice
Overall: The college was good according to academics and student to teacher ratio was also good. But the institute focuses more on academics but not on sports. The first year students will have some restrictions rest will not have any restrictions. Overall the college was good and the people who are interested can join
Placement: If all the semisters you were with 7.5 cgpa you will directly get a job in isro rest of the people will have private companies like Benz etc. so better to have 7.5 cgpa
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was very good and was clean campus with CISF protected. It has more research facilities and many labs. Unlike other colleges this college mostly concentrates on research.
Faculty: The faculty are very good and attendence should be 80 percent which will be given on iris scaning for 1st year rest of the years with biometric and no proxy will workout. They take much care on students and for further help by faculty will be provided by assigning PhD scholars. They will be very friendly
Hostel: hostel rooms and all are good in 1 st year you will have 3 sharing and rest of the years 2 sharing. The college was clean and good maintainance. They will provide, chair, cot,an almirah and a study table in hostel room.
