IISc Bangalore Admission 2025

IISc Bangalore admissions for 2025 will begin shortly for various courses such as B.Sc (Research), B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Des, and MMS. For B.Sc (Research), candidates must qualify in JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET UG, or the IISER Test. The NEET UG Round 3 registration is starting from October 3-8, 2024, and seat allotment result is on October 11, 2024. JEE Main 2025 session 1 registration will be open from November 1 to December 1, 2024. GATE 2025 exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. B.Tech admissions at IISc Bangalore are based on JEE Advanced, while M.Tech requires GATE scores. For M.Des, both GATE and CEED scores are accepted as per IISc Bangalore admission process. CEED 2025 registration will tentatively begin in October 2024. MMS requires GATE, CAT, or GMAT scores. CAT 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on November 24, 2024.

IISc Bangalore Admissions

IISc Bangalore admission is offered to a total of 5 courses. For BTech admission, candidates need to qualify in JEE Advanced. For BSc in research programme candidates have to either qualify in JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET UG or IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). Candidates meeting the cutoff have to participate in the counselling process conducted by the university itself. For IISc Bangalore admissions to M.Tech, candidates must meet the GATE cutoff and are allocated seats through COAP. Candidates who want to pursue MDes must appear and meet the cutoff for GATE or CEED. The university offers a MMS programme wherein admission is based on GATE/CAT/GMAT scores. Further, they also need to appear for the counselling process as a part of the IISc Bangalore admission process for MMS. 15% weightage is given to the scores obtained in the entrance exam, 15% weightage to the academic merit, 30% weightage to the communication skills, and the remaining 40% weightage is given to the performance of the candidates in the interview. 

IISc Bangalore B.Tech Admissions

As per IISc admission criteria for B.Tech, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Admission is based on JEE Advanced scores. Candidates have to appear and qualify in JEE Main to be eligible for JEE Advanced. JEE Main 2025 session 1 application process will be open from November 1 to December 1, 2024.

IISc Bangalore BTech Admission Process

  • Candidates must ensure they meet the IISc Bangalore eligibility criteria 
  • Candidates need to register and appear for JEE Main 
  • Qualified candidates from JEE Main have to register for JEE Advanced, which is necessary for IISc Bangalore B.Tech admissions.

IISc Bangalore B.Sc Admission Process

  • Candidates must first meet the IISc admission criteria for B.Sc 
  • Register for one of the accepted entrance exams: JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET UG, or the IISER Aptitude Test.
  • After qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates have to fill out the IISc Bangalore admissions form and submit it along with necessary documents and entrance exam scores.

IISc Banglore does not offer PG in Physics but it offers integrated courses in Physics (PG and Ph.D. together)

Basic Qualification and Eligibility: For Integrated Physics Course is a candidatemust have a  minimum of first-class or equivalent in B.Sc. or an equivalent degree with Physics as one of the main subjects or BE/B Tech or equivalent in any discipline.
