Overall: Admission to the B. Sc. program at IISc Bangalore takes place via 4 modes: JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, IAT and NEET. Till 2021 there was a KVPY mode of entry but it was replaced by IAT (IISER Aptitude test) since last year. Cutoffs for different categories via different exams canbe checked at official website of the UG department of IISC: bs-ug.iisc.ac.in. The only eligibility criterias are to successfully pass class 12 examinations from a recognised board and to clear the cutoff of any of the 4 exams mentioned above in your category. Applications for the program are to filled at the official webiste in april-may every year. If you clear the cutoff then the institute will reach you on your official email-ID with a provisional offer letter and you will be invited for an in-person counselling session to the Bangalore campus in June. There are 3 rounds of counselling, and at the in person counselling you are given all the information about the program, fees and future prospects.
Faculty: The internship opportunities are open second year onwards and are very easy to obtain. Two types of internships are available: industrial and academic. Academic internships involve working under a professor with his team on their project over the course of a summer break. For this the student can approach any professors on campus, or even at other universities in India or abroad. However, these internships generally do not involve any stipends. Industrial internships are provided by the campus placement cell and generally involve a stipend depending on the job you get. Several companies come on campus to take interns for industrial research training.
Overall: overall experience of mine in the institute is nice because teachers are very helpful hostel facility is given which is average in nature and infrastructure of this institute is well maintained and yes i have got some good friends
Faculty: one of the best part of this institute is they have the best faculty there well knowledgeable well qualified teachers who not only motivate you but also supports you in each and every step of the your college life
Faculty: They are just too good in their field of teaching as there almost all faculty are teaching and doing their research oriented work simultaneously basically for the research oriented course
Overall: Quality of placement is average. 40 % percentage of student were placed approx. 4-5 lac highest salary package offered. average salary they offered 2.5 -3.5lac per annum. yes placement process easy and pleasant to me and they are supportive
Overall: This college is already well known for it's reputation. The college atmosphere is more serious compared to IIT since greater number of Masters and PhD students. I think I don't need to say anything about academic part. The food is great, better than all IIT. You can choose your mess based on the region of India you come from. Hostels are decent. Campus is great.
Faculty: You know the best professors of India come to IISc. They will be better than any other colleges. On a key note, good in research does not imply good at teaching. So in some courses you might get a good researcher as your prof but he might not be that good at teaching. But don't worry as there will be your nerdy friends to help you out.
Overall: Good so better of the this college dheko everyone use this opportunity to avoid your problems and so better the this website of college dheko please all of use this opportunity
Overall: Pros : Excellent Faculty Good Exposure and Brand Value of an IISCian Inclination Towards research Motivational Students High Value for Education Value for Money and Good Placement Cons: Highly Competitive Too many projects Loads of Stress Excessive Assignments Getting out is much more difficult than getting in.
Overall: All the professors at IISC, Bangalore are more than willing to help if you have doubts regarding a question or a potential hypothesis. And there are courses catering to specific topics like microscopy, NMR, protein sequencing which include both theory and practicals.
Overall: One thing is for sure, IISc is a great place for learning - advanced facilities in equipment in all fields of research, great journals Library, provision to take an elective course in any department ( as Electrical Engg student, I took 50% of courses in Chemistry, Physics, ECE, Instrumentation, & Management depts for my specialization on LEDs), and possibility for cross-disciplinary research pursuits.
