• These students have approached the AP High Court challenging the DTE's decision
• After the arguments, the AP High Court ordered DTE to consider these students under 'the Local Status' category
• DTE was not satisfied with the High Court orders
• According to DTE, considering these students under local status shall give scope for new problems in counselling, such as reservation policies, changes in entire seat allotments, etc. DTE is quoting various practical problems with respect to HC's decision
• DTE will file a petition in the AP HC on August 5, and the seat allotment results will be released based on the decision of the HC. Students will need to wait another 3-4 days to get clarity on the seat allotment date
