Sastra University Admission 2024 Open for UG & PG Courses

SASTRA University admission is ongoing. Candidates need to register online and then fill out the application. This is the first step in the SASTRA University admission process. After the application form is submitted, admissions are done on a rolling basis. Lastly, candidates need to pay the SASTRA University admission fee to confirm their admission. SASTRA University accepts entrance exams like JEE Main, GATE, CLAT, CAT, MAT, CUET etc depending on the courses. For some SASTRA University courses admission like MCA, PhD, the university conducts its own entrance exam. Scholarships are also available on a merit basis which are either paid in lump sum or as a tuition fee waiver depending on the scholarship. There are a total of 12 courses and 78 specialisations. Eligibility for International Student for UG Admission

SASTRA University international admission is based on the candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination. However, candidates must submit the necessary transcripts, examination mark sheets, TOEFL/IELTS certificate and statement of purpose. A letter of recommendation is a plus.

SASTRA University Selection Criteria for UG Courses

SASTRA University UG admission is based on entrance exams. B.Tech admission is done on two streams - Stream 1 and Stream 2. Stream 1 admission is based on the candidate’s performance in JEE Main whereas Stream 2 admission process is for those who have not appeared in JEE Main. Admission in Integrated law programmes is based on CLAT. For SASTRA University admission 2024 in other UG courses, CUET scores are considered.

Eligibility for International Student for PG Admission

SASTRA University international admission 2024 in PG courses is based on the student's merit in the final qualifying exams. Along with that candidates must also have TOEFL/IELTS certificate, transcripts, letters of recommendation and statement of purpose. For admission in some courses, candidates must sit for an interview round.

SASTRA University Selection Criteria for PG Courses

SASTRA University PG admission is based on entrance exams. For admission in MCA programme, the university conducts its own entrance exams. GATE scores is accepted for admission in M.Tech and M.Sc programmes. A valid score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT is needed for SASTRA University admission in MBA programme. 

Eligibility for International Student for PhD

SASTRA University PhD admission is done through its student exchange programme, PhD Abroad Programme, Dual Degree (Split - PhD) programme. The selection process is the same for incoming international students and students going abroad for PhD. Selection is done by the university from where the students are visiting and SASTRA University.

SASTRA University Selection Criteria for PhD Courses

SASTRA University PhD admission is based on entrance exams depending on the course. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria, must obtain a valid score in GATE/NET/SLET/UGC-CSIR/SASTRA Research Entrance Test (SRET). Next, they need to submit two letters of recommendation as well as attend the personal interview session conducted by the university.

Step 1: Visit the official website and click on the registration link available based on new and registered users. 

Step 2: Complete the pre-application registration by selecting the campus and degree you are applying for.

Step 3: Next,fill in all the details mentioned in the applicant’s form and click on submit.

Step 4: You will receive your registration number and password on your mobile number and email address provided.

Step 5:  Log in using the credentials and fill out the SASTRA University application form. Details like applicant details, father's details, mother's details, guardian's details, choice of branch, entrance exam details, address, education details, supporting documents and declarations etc need to be filled and submitted.

Step 6: Candidates then need topay the SASTRA University application fee of Rs 600 and then click on submit. This will mark the end of the SASTRA University application process.

There are a total of three major types of SASTRA University scholarships. They are Dean’s Merit List, Hostel Scholarship and TATA Housing Scholarship. Dean’s Merit List is further subdivided into two categories. Candidates who qualify for this scholarship will be exempted from paying one-fifth or two-fifths of semester fees, depending on the categories. Students with good conduct and with 90% class attendance are eligible for hostel scholarships.
