Dear Student,

If you have scored 970 marks out of 1000 marks, that is 90%, in boards, but haven't attempted the JEE Main exam, then there is no chance of getting into NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), IIIT (Indian Institute of Information Technology), and GFTIs (Government-Funded Technical Institute), as admission to these colleges can only be done through the JEE Main exam. However, you can try taking the State Common Entrance Test for engineering like MHT CET, WBJEE, etc., and if you don't want to take any entrance exam and want admission on the basis of your board exams, then you can enrol in counselling by state universities like TNEA, MAKAUT, etc. to get Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). You can also take admission to private universities through their entrance exams like LPUNEST, VITEEE, etc. We hope that we have answered your question successfully. Stay tuned to College Dekho for the latest updates related to exam, admission, counselling and more.

Dear Student,

If you have above 90 percent marks in your intermediate and have scored 80 percentile marks in JEE Main 2025, you will have to go for the counselling rounds conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). During the counselling you will be provided with the list of colleges and branches for which you are eligible. As per the expected list of colleges for 80 percentile in JEE Mains, you will be provided with tier 3 NITs like NIT Megahlaya, NIT Sikkim, NIT Silchar, NIT Jalndhar, etc. You will also be recommended with IIITs and GFTIs for various branches. We hope that we have answered your query successfully. Stay connected with College Dekho for the latest updates related to JEE Main counselling and admission. All the best for your future!

Hi,

With 2700 rank, you can get admission to any BTech programme at SASTRA University. As per the university’s admission criteria, students who have appeared for JEE Main can apply for the B.Tech. programmes at SASTRA for which 25% weightage will be given along with the +2 marks for which the weightage given is 75%. This is for 70% of the total seats. They need to enter their JEE scores, whatever the scores are. If a student secures a JEE Main Score of 185 and normalized +2 total marks of 95%, the combined score of the student will be (0.25*185) + (0.75*95) = 117.50. SASTRA uses its own ranks calculated based on +2 marks and JEE Main scores.

Dear student,

BTech admission at SASTRA University is based on the class 12 score and the JEE Marks of the applicants. The university calculates and releases the merit list based on the scores obtained by the applicants. Therefore, if in 2024, high-rank candidates fill out the SASTRA University admission form, then it will be difficult for students with low JEE Main rank. Since you have got 2606 AIR in JEE Main, it is possible for you to get admission. You can know for sure by applying for SASTRA University admission to BTech in 2024.
