Satyawati College has a sports complex which has the facility for both indoor and outdoor games as college firmly believes in the overall development of the students. The college has a cricket ground, basketball, football, ground, badminton court.
The Art and Culture society is committed to unplug the latent creative energy of young students. Dance, musical performances organized round the year, give a special flavor to the life in college. The students are well trained in several classical and folk forms of dance and singing. Students have won several inter-college competitions and left the spectators spellbound with their performances on a number of occasions.
The Debating Society regularly organizes intra, inter-college and National level debates in English, Hindi, Urdu and Sanskrit. The Society through its activities seeks to cultivate a research oriented competitive debating culture with emphasis on listening skills, intelligent ideation, responsive approach and competent spoken skills. Abhivyakti has conducted debate on various issues such as culture, history, politics, current affairs, law, sports and life. Over the years, our debaters have represented the College in Inter-college, intracollege and national level debates and have made the college proud by winning several prizes.
One of the most active societies of the college dramatics society, 'The Third Act', holds theatre workshops, lectures and drama productions. This society recognizes the need for young people to express their emotions creatively. Through focused theatre workshops, hidden acting talents are recognized and polished which invariably results in brilliant performances by amateurs. The students have been provided a spacious room in Block A to conduct their workshops and carry on with their practice.
The film society conducts regular film screenings which are followed by discussions, analysis & overview of the theme, technique etc. This society seeks to use films as a medium for collective learning & creating an understanding that films have more hidden academic messages than what we can see.
Photography society conducts photography workshops for students and trains them to use the camera. In today's environment of love for 'selfies' and photography, this society is quite popular with students.
The NCC unit of the college trains boys and girls as cadets in the Army and Navy wings. Our cadets have had the honor of participating in the Republic Day parade and Special National Camps. Rigorous training that the students undergo in NCC helps them maintain a fine balance between mind and body. A room in BlockA, first floor has been assigned to the In-charge of NCC.
The College has an active group of student volunteers associated with the NSS. The NSS volunteers conduct reading sessions for visually challenged students. Their activities include working with nearby slum population, organizing and participating in blood donation camps, teaching children of construction workers in the college campus. The NSS organizes an Annual Function "Sarokar" every year.
