Candidate should have passed a Bachelor/Post Gradute Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Candidate should have passed 10+2 in any discipline with at least 50% marks and passed Mathematics as one of the subject at matriculation examination level
Cnadidate should have passed 10+2 with English as one of the subjects.
Admission to the first year of B.Com (General) degree shall be open to a person who has passed one of the following examination conducted by a recognized Board/Council/University:
(i) +2 examination or B.Com Part-I (Old Scheme) of Panjab University with threeof the following subjects securing atleast 40% marks in the aggregate. Commerce (or theory of commerce or foundation course in commerce) accountancy (or Book-Keeping and Accountancy), Economics, Mathematics or Statistics),Business Organization(or Business Management of Theory and Practice of Management), Insuarance(or General Insuarance or Life Insuarance),Banking and Trade,Commercial Geography,Office Management and Secretarial Practice(or Office Organization and Management),Mercantile Law (or any Company Law),Auditing,Type Writing and Stenography/Computers(for Type Writing).
(ii) +2 examination or B.A Part-I (old scheme) of Panjab University with two of the following subjects securing atleast 45% marks in the aggregate.
(iii) +2 examination or B.A Part-I/B.Sc Part-I/Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical Examination of Panjab University under the old scheme not covered (ii) securing at least 50% marks.
(iv) Any other examination recognized by the University as equivalent to (i) (ii) or (iii) as given above with requisite percentage of marks given under each clause.
(i) A Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination (Med & Non-Med) with English as one of the subject from any school affiliated with PSEB,Mohali or any other Board recognized by Panjab University.
(ii) A Candidate,who has passed 10+2 examination (Med& Non-Med) without English from any other recognized Board or Body/Council/University is also eligible to join B.Sc-I (Med & Non-Med) provisionaly if she fulfills other requirements such as minimum percentage of marks.
(iii) A Candidate who has been placed under compartment in the 10+2 examination conducted by a Board or Body/Council/University in India in one subject only obtaining 20% marks in the subject of compartment (Theory & Practical combined together) shall also be eligible to seek admission to B.Sc-I (Med/Non-Med) provided that she has obtained at least 40% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects including the marks obtained by her in the subject of compartment (Theory & Practical combined together).
