About Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT)

BHMCT, or Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, is a four-year professional undergraduate course offered by a number of Indian universities. The course is specifically designed for students who want to work in the hospitality industry. The best colleges that offer this programme are usually members of the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The course is designed to prepare enthusiastic students for careers in the hospitality industry. Food Production, Housekeeping Operations, Catering Services, Communication Fundamentals, Accommodation Operations, Basic Accounting, Management Principles, and Travel & Tourism are all topics covered in the BHMCT curriculum.

BHMCT Admission Process

Admission to the BHMCT course is provided on the basis of entrance exams. The national-level entrance exam conducted for BHMCT admissions is NCHMCT JEE (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam). The NCHMCT JEE or NCHM JEE is mainly conducted for admission to the IHMs. The score of NCHM JEE is also accepted for admission by many other colleges. The details regarding the admission process of BHMCT course can be found below.

  • Candidates interested in taking admission to the BHMCT course must first appear for the NCHMCT JEE or any other BHMCT entrance exam accepted by their choice of college

  • The candidates who receive qualifying marks in the entrance exam are then called for central counselling conducted at the national or state level. Candidates who appear for institute-level entrance exams are shortlisted for the further process on the basis of merit in the entrance exam

  • Candidates are then required to appear for counselling, in which they exercise their choices and are allocated seats on the basis of merit and personal preference

  • Colleges may also conduct Personal Interviews for the final selection of candidates

  • Some colleges also offer direct admission to candidates on the basis of Class 12th merit

Dear Student

Admission to the BHMCT program at All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society's, College Of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pune will be done on the basis of MAH BHMCT CET entrance exam. You will have to appear for this entrance exam in order to get admission. The exam was supposed to be conducted on July 19 but it has been postponed and the new date for MAH BHMCT CET hasn't released yet. 

You can fill the application form available on the official website of the college in order to apply for admission. You can also apply for admission by filling our Common Application Form. The college will release the list of selected candidates on the official website.
