Telecommunication Engineering Course Overview

Telecommunication engineering is a part of electronics engineering that aims to design and develop systems of communication at a distance. To design and develop telecommunication systems, it combines all aspects of system engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering. Telecom engineers work on data and voice communications systems such as unwired, wired, satellite, and fiber connections as well as data compression, encryption, and encoding. To put it another way, telecommunication engineering is present in almost every area of our life - from the internet to GPS navigation.

Various reputed public institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology, and National Institute of Technology, and self-financing institutions like CMR Institute of Technology Bangalore, KIIT School of Engineering Bhubaneswar, KJ Somaiya College of Engineering Mumbai, etc offer various undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes in telecommunication engineering where interested candidates can take admission through an entrance examination score or merit. Dear Student,

For MBA course admission, VMOU or Vardhman Mahaveer Open University conducts its own entrance exam, the Management Entrance Test (MET). However, if you have a good score in CAT, MAT, CMAT, or similar national-level exams, you may not need the VMOU MBA entrance test. Also a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognized university is a must for MBA admission. The institute no longer offers MCA program (discontinued in July 2024).

If you have further queries regarding postgraduate admission, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.

Good Luck!

Dear Student,

Unfortunately, the PG Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) course at the VMOU Kota is no longer offered. The course was discontinued from the 2022 academic year. As per the official website of the university, the institute does not offer any PG Diploma courses. Similarly, the university has also discontinued the MCA program in July 2024. However, you can check several other colleges that provide similar courses through other open universities such as IGNOU, Kurukshetra University, Online Manipal Jaipur etc.  We hope this information was helpful to you.

If you have further queries regarding PG Diploma in Computer Applications course admission, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.

All the best!
