1. The MIST Kolkata placement cell conducts several training programs that enable students to focus on career planning in the final year. 
2. The TnP cell organises programs like GDs, mock interviews, aptitude tests, alumni speeches, and so on to encourage students to pursue their goals. 
3. MSIT Kolkata also arranges guest lectures, off-site training, industrial visits, entrepreneurship development programs, and other industry-institute interaction programs.
4. To enable the students to understand the current requirements in industries better and bridge the gap, experts from various fields and specialisations in engineering and management are invited to the campus of MSIT Kolkata.
5. MSIT Kolkata offers summer internship programs for B.Tech final-year students. They are sent to Eastern Railways, CESC, Reliance group, Siddha projects, Mani group, PC Chandra group, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, and many other organisations.
