Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University (SKBU) was a dream of the people of Purulia. It is the most western district in the state of West Bengal. Sidho Kanho Birsha University Application Process 2022 

SKBU's application process follows a similar procedure for the Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and other courses. The selection criteria and the admission procedure will differ from the course type and the eligibility parameters of the course. The application process for SKBU is completely online. To complete the SKBU application form, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

• Visit the official admission portal of SKBU. 
• For each course, there is a different form available on the university website. 
• Select the program and provide all the required information, such as educational details, personal details, and contact addresses, while filling up the form.
• Candidates will have to produce the scanned signatures and color photographs along with the SKBU application form. University might also ask candidates to produce other required documents in the admission process. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep all the required documents handy, such as birth certificate, category certificate, last qualifying degree certificate, etc.
• At the time of the SKBU application form submission, students will require to pay the application fee and any other overhead if there is. SKBU application fees can be paid via an online payment method such as net banking, credit and debit cards, BHIM UPI, Paytm, etc. Candidates are advised to keep the receipt of the fee paid as proof for further reference by taking the printout once the transaction is complete. If the transaction fails due to some error, or the Confirmation Page is not generated after completing the fee payment or if the transaction is cancelled, the amount is still deducted from your account. Then students need not panic, and the amount deducted amount will be credited to their account as per their bank's regulations. However, candidates do not have to wait for long they can make the transactions again. 
• Eligible candidates will be invited to the entrance exam conducted by the University. Aside from this, candidates can also appear for their subject-specific entrance exam. Since SKBU grants admission on the basis of their merit, therefore, their marks in the entrance exams along with their scores in the last qualifying exam are assessed. Upon shortlisting, they will be called to further their admissions. This includes the secondary admission round, if applicable to the course, and then the payment of the fees. Admission is granted on the basis of the candidate's performance in all the selection rounds, including their scores.
• SKBU Entrance Exam is a computer-based test, which is mandatory to qualify to be eligible for admission. Candidates will get the entrance exam-related details on the university website. 
• Ph.D. aspirants are exempted from SKBU Entrance Exam only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship.
• Aside from the entrance exam, candidates will have to meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute For admission to the specific course.  
• Merit lists are prepared for each category, i.e., candidates belonging to categories such as SC, ST, OBC, PWD, and EWS are eligible for marks concession as per the approved admission Policy of SKBU.

The nearly 13-acre campus of SKBU has everything a student will need for their overall development. The campus is located in the Purulia District.
