University of Hyderabad (UoH) MA Admission 2025 will be done through CUET PG. The University of Hyderabad officials announced that admissions to MA programmes will take place through CUET PG 2025 and the application will be released soon for CUET PG 2025. The officials will not release any separate notification for admission to PG courses offered at University of Hyderabad. There will be no separate exam conducted by UOH and the seats will be offered through CUET PG 2025 . The CUET PG 2025 will be held in March 2025. The interview and counselling process will take place only when the candidates will qualify the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2025.

University of Hyderabad M.A Admissions 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission into the M.A programmes offered at the University of Hyderabad should have obtained a 3-year Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects to be considered eligible.The eligibility criteria for M.A admissions at the University of Hyderabad will be based on the eligibility criteria of CUET PG that has been provided below.

Financial Economics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics with 50% overall aggregate and 50% marks in Economics Or
  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject with 60% aggregate in either Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering,  History, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology or any Social Sciences subjects
  • Candidates must have studied mathematics compulsorily at the 10+2 level

Economics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics with 50% overall aggregate and 50% marks in Economics Or
  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject with 60% aggregate in either Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering,  History, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology or any Social Sciences subjects

Gender Studies

Bachelor’s degree holder in any Sciences/Humanities/Social Sciences subjects from a recognised University with an overall aggregate of 50%

Anthropology

Any Bachelor’s degree holder with 50% overall aggregate from a recognised University

Sociology

  • Any Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall 60% aggregate from a recognised University Or
  • 50% aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree and in the relevant subject or in Philosophy, Communication, Linguistics,  Social science subjects from a recognised University

Political Science

  • 50% aggregate in Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in Humanities/Social Sciences subjects
  • Any Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University with a minimum aggregate of 55%

History

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in with a minimum 50% overall aggregate and in History subject Or
  • 50% aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree with 55% aggregate in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Indology, Archaeology, Ancient Indian History and Culture subjects Or
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in any Bachelor’s degree study

English Language Studies

Any graduate with a minimum 50% aggregate who have compulsorily studied English subject in High School, 10+2 and for at least 1 year during the Bachelor’s degree programme. The candidate should have secured 55% aggregate in the English subject at the graduation level.

Sanskrit Studies

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Sanskrit/Shastri/Vidwanmadhyama/Acharya Or
  • Any Bachelor’s degree holder where the candidates have studied Sanskrit at School/Higher Secondary/College level Or
  • Bachelor’s degree holder in any discipline with a Certificate/PG Diploma in Sanskrit

Comparative Literature

Any Bachelor’s degree holder with a minimum of 50% aggregate (or equivalent grade) and 50% marks (or equivalent) in English (Optional/Compulsory) at the bachelor’s degree level

Applied Linguistics

Any Bachelor’s degree holder with a minimum of 50% aggregate (or equivalent grade) and 50% marks (or equivalent) in English (Optional/Compulsory) at the bachelor’s degree level

Urdu

  • Bachelor’s degree holder with 50% aggregate minimum and 50% aggregate in Arabic, Persian or Urdu as optional papers Or
  • Bachelor’s degree holders with at least 55% aggregate in Arabic, Persian or Urdu as a compulsory subject (Second Language)

Telugu

  • 50% in Bachelor’s degree and the same aggregate in Telugu as an optional subject Or

University of Hyderabad MA Application Form 2025

To apply for admission into the Master of Arts (MA) programmes offered at the University of Hyderabad, the interested students will have to visit the official website of National Testing Agency cuet.nta.nic.in. and fill the CUET PG application form 2025. The interested candidates will have to register themselves first through CUET PG 2025 portal for taking MA admission at the University of Hyderabad using a valid email address and contact number. A candidate can apply for as many as 10 MA courses of UoH as they like through one single application form.

University of Hyderabad MA Admissions 2025 – Hall Ticket

The hall ticket for University of Hyderabad MA Admission 2025 will be made available through CUET PG 2025 only. The admit card for CUET PG 2025 will be issued only to the aspirants who filled the application form of CUET PG 2025 successfully. Candidates can download the CUET PG Admit Card 2025 by entering their login credentials such as application number and password. CUET PG 2025 Admit Cards will be available in an online mode and the direct link to download the admit card will be provided here.

Candidates must note that the CUET PG Admit Card 2025 is a very important document.  The candidate must carry an Admit Card of CUET PG to the exam center without fail else they won’t be able to sit for the exam. All the details such as date and shift/time will be specified in the CUET PG Admit Card 2025. No candidate will be permitted to appear for CUET PG exam 2025 without an Admit Card. How Can Foreign Students Apply for MA Admissions at University of Hyderabad 2025

The University of Hyderabad also allows foreign students to apply for the Master of Arts (MA) admissions. Any candidate who holds a foreign country passport (PIO, OCI etc also) are eligible to apply for MA admissions at University of Hyderabad under the foreign nationals category through CUET PG only. According to the UGC guidelines, 15% of the total intake in each MA programme of UoH is reserved for foreign nationals. NRIs with Indian Passports do not fall under the foreign nationals’ category.

University of Hyderabad MA Admissions 2025 – Selection Process

Selection into the MA programmes of the University of Hyderabad is done on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in CUET PG exams. If the candidate has qualified the entrance exam conducted by CUET PG 2025, then they will be eligible for the counselling process conducted by individual colleges on the basis of ranks and scorecard obtained as per the qualifying examination. The candidates will have to bring their documents as specified for the process of counselling. Each participating university will release its rank list for CUET PG counselling 2025. The candidates must be aware about the official website of the participating colleges. The candidates with higher cut off will be given preference over lower cut off in allocation of seats or colleges.

University of Hyderabad MA Admissions 2025 – Reservation Policy

The reservation policy of the University of Hyderabad for MA admissions is mentioned in the table provided below. The reservation policy will be considered in accordance with the mandate given by CUET PG 2025. In the CUET PG 2025 exam, a certain percentage of seats are reserved.
