Thapar University Selection Criteria for UG Courses

• For B.Tech, selection is based on JEE Main scores.
• Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in the 10+ 2 standards
• For B. Pharmacy, selection is based on JEE/NEET/SAT or the Thapar University entrance test.
• Before final selection, candidates need to meet all the eligibility criteria to get admission.
• Candidates who qualify for the entrance exam will receive an admission offer.

• Admission to M.Tech courses will be based on GATE scores.
• For M. Pharmacy, selection is based on GPAT scores.
• The scores for GMAT/CAT/MAT are considered for MBA admission.
• students must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in graduation as a general candidate and 55% marks as an SC/ST candidate
• Thapar University Entrance Test is conducted for admission to other postgraduate courses.
• Applicants need to satisfy all the eligibility criteria to be eligible for Thapar University Admission
• Candidates who successfully pass the entrance exam will be extended an offer for admission.
• Applicants need to pay first-semester fees and secure their seats.

Thapar University offers various courses. For a few courses, candidates will solely be selected based on merit scores and are not required to take an entrance exam. • Students must visit the official website of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala.
• They must find the online registration form on the home page and provide the necessary details.
• Once they provide all the details, they must check the ‘I agree’ box to proceed successfully to the registration process.
• Students are required to log in further using login details and fill out the online application form. 
• They must verify all the details provided before the final submission of the application details.
• Upon successfully submitting all the details, the students must pay Rs 1,500 as an application fee for MA, M.Sc, and MBA courses and Rs 2,000 as an application fee for B.Tech, BE, M.Tech, and ME courses. After payment, they can complete the online admission process.
