Overall: After spending two years at the university, I must say it is one of the best universities in Punjab. I am currently in the second year of BTech + MBA integrated programme. Our curriculum is designed taking into consideration the demands of the future. The faculty is highly qualified and experience. However, there are certain things that needs attention such as hefty hostel fee and too much politics at the campus.
Placement: The university has tieups with multiple companies for placement. Last year, the highest package offered during placements was Rs 55 LPA. We cannot expect anything more from the well organised and active placement cell conducting regular training of soft skills to improve our changes of getting placed.
Infrastructure: The university campus is a thing of beauty. There is vast playground for sports, the smart classrooms are fully air conditioned, auditorium with huge seating capacity etc. During my free time, I enjoy setting in our spacious cafeteria with my friends.
Faculty: One of the biggest plus point of the university is its faculty. My professors are highly educated and well respected in their field. They give equal weightage to theoractical and practical knowlegde. The only thing of concern is early morning classes which start at 8 am.
Hostel: There is no doubt, the university has multiple accommodation types. But, the problem is hefty fee is charges. Paying Rs 40,000 per semester is a burden for numerous students.
Overall: The college is very nice and has a good environment, The faculties are well-qualified and helpful to each and every student. they're ensuring no student feels isolated or lost.
Placement: Placements are not good in our college. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. Roles offered by companies are associate engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: College Infrastructure College have great infrastructure which consists of hostel, library, sports ground, and necessary requirements for various activities, laboratory is also there, classroom have smartboards which are used regularly and are well maintained.
Faculty: The curriculum is very well prepared and the faculties are very educated and teach very well and also doubt session also done for the ones that have difficulties in there respective topics
Hostel: The hostel facilities are very good initially but now they are not giving full focus on complaints, but they try their best to resolve our problems. Mess food is average in taste.
Overall: There isn't a day when i don't miss my time at Thapar University. I completed my MCA from the university in 2020. The university is one of the best private universities in Punjab. The thing i miss the most is the campus environment. There was cultural diversity with students from different states and nationalities. Thapar University also helped me in kick starting my professional career as i got campus placement. The university is ranked by prestigious body such as NIRF, Times Higher Education etc.
Placement: Thapar University can definately boost about its placements. There were 30 students in my class out of which 26 got placed and 4 chose not participate in placements. The average package offered was Rs 7-8 LPA. Companies such as IBM, Accenture, Capegemini hired MCA students and i was one of them.
Infrastructure: The 250 acres campus of Thapar University is a town itself. The university campus had everything. Libraries, smart classrooms, wifi, auditoriums, sports facilities, medical centre, departmental store you name it and it was there. The university library is huge and has a reading room with a seating capacity of 350 students.
Faculty: Thapar University faculty is always there for students. If i share my experience then i found my mentor in my professors. They guided me and helped me in every step. Talking about studies, so curriculum is designed keeping in mind the changing industry dynamics.
Hostel: Thapar University hostels were good but the only drawback was fee. The fee was too high. Charging over Rs 50,000 per semester was too much for students. However, the facilties at hostels justified the hefty fee charged. Thapar University hostels had both AC and non AC rooms and sharing accommodation option was also there.
Overall: Thapar university is one of the best private college you can seek admission in far better than manipal, vit vellore and other pvt college as well be it in terms of placement, infrastructure etc.
Placement: Placements are really good. More than 350+ companies visit the campus and had provided with more than 1800+ job offers. Avg package is 13-14 lpa and 60 lpa is highest package. Median pay is 11.2 pla.
Faculty: Faculty is good mostly are phd holders and iit alumni. They carry a lot of experience with them and guide you for a brighter future. They provide you for study material which is specially been made by them.
Hostel: You get a wide range of hostels and room types. You can select which ever suits you each and every hostel has it's own mess and night canteen. Every hostel has it's own gym and reading room as well.
Overall: It's overall a good college with fascinating infrastructure most importantly the library which adds alot of value to education. Apart from this, faculty is actually very helping and they help you get into some actually good projects which improve not only intellectual skills but social skills too, socities culture is also a great to experience at thapar! Overall it will be a worthy experience.
Placement: Placements are decent you can think of getting a package above 7 lpa with great probability of you are willing to study the college works very hard on their placements department always ready to give students better opportunities in their life!
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is you can say the main highlight of thapar it offers new gen pc's and classroom's with all technology to boost up our level of education in a cool way!
Faculty: Faculty is something you won't regret spending a single penny on! They are passout's or phd's from IIT's, Queensland etc. with alot of teaching experience and they add a significant value to your education.
Hostel: Hostels are actually amazing they include every facility one wants either it is clean room, good ac's, clean washrooms, great mess food and overall it's great and it's far better than any other college especially in north india!
Overall: It was a great experience studying in Thapar University. It offers a comprehensive BBA degree and offers various societies and I am part of fine arts and photography society
Placement: Till now theres no placement after BBA as such. The university is new to BBA and BCOM. So the placements aren't available to us. Only after MBA the good placements are done
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is beyond the words, new painted buildings with fresh natural flowers all around. Newly opened restaurants and classes with good tables and chairs
Faculty: The faculty is indian as well as international which serves best teaching to the students. The knowledge is way better than other colleges. Great subjects with great learning
Hostel: One of the best indian hostels i have ever seen. Top class facilities with delicious food and too many varieties. The staff if very cooperative and understanding
Overall: This university has excellent and well qualified staff which is really helpful in studies.they have so many years of experience. Best college among all.
Placement: Placements companies visit this institute regularly and hire the candidates according to their knowledge. Proper interviews are conducted and good salary packages are given to selected students.
Infrastructure: Well established buildings, modernisation in infrastructure, hostels are too good to stay . The perfect infrastructure any college can have. Toilets and washrooms are very well maintained.
Faculty: I have done masters in physics there. The faculty is too helpful. They give individual attention to every student. This institute is really best among all.
Hostel: Hostels are not less than any 5 star hotels. Food is too good .proper medication facility is there. Rooms are well furnished and hygienic. Transportation facility is also there
Overall: Its a great college if you are into studies and sports but there are some drawbacks also like the fees is very much i.e 23-25 Lacks for a degree. Secondly, Subjects and things to study are hectic thus creating a stressy surrounding because after 2nd year the placements fomo is also there
Placement: See , the placements of Thapar University are known from a long time. But the number of students taking admissions in CSE can raise a issue as there aren't so much jobs as compared to University's intake from past 2-3 years.
Infrastructure: Campus is extravagant especially the library and the city Patiala is also great . The guys there provide hospitality not to forget. The library is one of finest of Asia.
Faculty: The teachers/ proffers here are great in case of any query of student. They also focus on your progress with giving you questions or tutorials. Also the teachers here are very experienced and a master at their work , they have a great field of knowledge.
Hostel: The hostel here is a vibe. Like all the mess food is also good and the rooms are well furnished not like the ones which you find in some other Engineering colleges. The staff also is very supportive in case you need anything. 24*7 Ambulance is also a good feature
Overall: Next Level Infrastructure.Exams are done in very good manner. The college placement team is really doing a good job in providing best job opportunities.
Placement: The placement team plays the most impor Role. The highest Package from my college is 55LPA.Faculty keeps on sharing job opportunities and research opportunities.
Infrastructure: Really big campus. Lots of grounds and lawns.Cafe in each and every area.Equipped with next level furniture. One of the Best Libraries our college has.
Faculty: Best Faculty. Recruited faculty from the best colleges. Almost every faculty is PHd. Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant
Hostel: The best 2 seater AC hostel. Sodexo Mess are one of the best. The environment in hostels in very friendly.Caretakers are very nice.Full Decorum is maintained.
Overall: Thapar Institute , i have always heard about it as a college of the rich and the upper class ones. About the studies it is an excellent college and no doubt it is one of the top colleges in Punjab and i would like to say that u should take admission in it if u can ( money problem ) i agree it is very expensive but the facilities u get are also phenomenal i mean it is great
Placement: Placements depends on branch i mean if u have computer science u have higher chance of getting placed at better companies and so branches really matter a lot
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure this college is one of the best u can get , i mean this much of a fees , u realy expect this college to have a wonderful infrastructure and it does....
Faculty: Talking about faculty this can vary a lot , And i really didnt like the faculties a lot i have to say , yeah they arent too bad they are just average. I find some of them really good but some of them not that good as if like they are just some dummies and dont really care about the students
Hostel: Well then about the hostels , there are many of em like H J K M and as u proceed on ur degree i get better hostels and yeah the interior is well built and all i can say is the hostel realt isnt the best part
Overall: The college is very good, having a great infrastructure, all the needful requirements, beautiful hostels, intelligent faculties and decent placements. You can opt for Computer Branches here and it would be a great ROI for you but for opting lower branches, you'll have to work very hard to get a good placement.
Placement: The placements are good for Computer Branches getting near about an average package of 12 LPA but the competition is tough for the lower branches like those of Civil. The return of investment is not great for lower branches but are a good one for the higher ones.
Faculty: The faculty is good and all are having certified qualifications from even great institutes like IITs. The faculties are on time in classes and spends the needful time with the students. Students can even submit for the change in faculties if they aren't happy with them.
Hostel: The hostels for both boys and girls are made beautifully, having a wide range of rooms like AC, Non-Ac, 1S,2S,3S and 4S. The hostels for the first year students are bit in a bad condition but for the students onwards 2nd year, they are very beautifully built.
Overall: Thapar University was one of the best college in North India but now due to some other colleges are opened like chitkara and Chandigarh University etc.and having fees less then Thapar University.
Placement: I was currently in 1st year i does not know more about it but I can say that about 80% to 85% students got placed on campus many big companies like Google,LT,Blackstone visit Thapar University every year.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure of Thapar University is good they keep on developing.I see Many area in University campus construction work is going on.One of the best thing was it's library which is very good.
Faculty: The faculty of Thapar University is comprised of experience educators and researchers in their respective fields and contribute to the institution academy excellence.
Hostel: I was living in H hostel of Thapar every thing is good like food, night mess, rooms ,bathroom and all other stuff.over all everything is available in our hostel. The H hostel, like others on campus, fosters a sense of community and provides a conducive environment for students to live and study during their time at the university.
