Like any other university, CUP Bhatinda has a special placement cell that trains students and makes them ready for placement. The Central University of Punjab placement cell was established in 2018 and has been growing ever since. The cell is currently headed by – Dr Vinod Kumar – Associate Professor and Head Department of Chemistry. Kibo XS is a multi-lingual scanning and reading device which can connect with any computer device and read any printed or handwritten document in 11 Indian - English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit and multiple overseas languages. NVDA Screen reader allows blind and vision-impaired people to interact with the windows operating system. There is wheelchair access available to specially-abled users.
The computer centre at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, is a central place for campus-wide networking and wireless internet connection across the campus. The centre manages more than 1000 physical and wireless nodes across the CUP Bathinda campus. The centre has two leased lines 1Gbps NKN (National Knowledge Network) bandwidth which distributes the services to all admin and academic blocks and hostels. The centre provides computer services and has access to special software like MATLAB, CAMBIO and ORIGIN.
The Department of Mass Communication and Media Studies has a special media lab for students of Television Production, Filmmaking, Photography and Designing. Students are allowed to use the services and expand their creativity. The following facilities are available in the lab:
The language labs of CUP Bathindacater to the Department of English, Hindi, and Punjabi students. The lab has been established to improve the students' ICT and language communications skills. With over 20+ computers available, the interested students of the Central University of Punjab can feel free to use the lab. It also provides support for Punjabi/Hindi typing.
The Central University of Punjab campus has four hostels – 2 for boys and 2 for girls. The total capacity of the hostels is over 1800 students at any given time. There is a dining hall adjacent to the hostels that can accommodate 650 students simultaneously. All the hostels are within walking distance of the CUP Bathinda campus. The hostels have access to extracurricular activities like – common rooms, reading rooms, three badminton, one volleyball and one basketball each in the boys and girls hostel. In addition, there are indoor games facilities like table tennis, chess and carrom. The students have access to a large cafeteria for refreshments. 24x7 monitors the CUP Bathinda campus, including the hostels, by CCTV Cameras, Security Guards and especially manned gates to ensure the complete safety of students. The Central University of Punjab hostel fees is also nominal.
CUP Bathinda understands the value of its students and staff's health and wants to make sure they have health services available in their time of need. The Central University of Punjab, Bhatinda campus has a health centre which can facilitate treatment of general ailments, first aid and referral services to people on the campus. The medical officer has been appointed at the centre, and the OPD timings are from 8.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 4.00 P.M. to 6.00 P.M. except for Sunday & Gazetted Holidays. The students have access to low-cost medicines and emergency kits for first aid.
