CUET Passing Marks 2024:
As the CUET UG Result 2024 has been released on July 28, 2024 by the NTA on its official website, nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. Students can download the CUET Results 2024 by entering their date of birth and application number in this direct link. The CUET UG 2024 exam was administered in hybrid mode from May 15 to May 29, 2024. The long-awaited CUET UG 2024 exam results are finally available for download.

Using the result, candidates can cacluate their CUET score and check for the CUET Passing Marks 2024 here. Though, there are no fixed CUET minimum qualifying mark as the CUET passing marks 2024 will be released by accepting universities; however, a score of 300-400 is required in CUET to be eligible for admission. In addition to the 12th board examination, candidates must have performed well in the CUET exam in order to gain admission to India's top colleges. The minimum passing score for CUET UG 2024 varies, but it is expected to be between 300 and 400 out of the total CUET marks. Similarly, the CUET passing marks for the general and OBC categories are expected to range between 400 and 450. And, the minimum passing scores for CUET Section I - Language in both A and B will be 80 to 90. Lastly, the Passing Section II - Domain-Specific Subjects of the CUET requires a score of at least 120.
Although no specific passing marks has been announced yet, looking at 2023's data, the CUET passing marks for SC, ST and other reserved categories will vary in comparison to CUET passing marks for General category students. It will also vary from university to university. For admission to DU, the passing marks for SC/ST category will be anywhere between 45-60 percentile with a minimum marks of 82 out of 150. If a student scores a minimum of 80 percentile or more, they can expect to get admission in universities like JNU, BHU, DU etc. On an average, a student should score minimum 50% to get admission to most of the central universities. - For candidates who aspire to qualify for the CUET 2024 and get admitted to their desired course/ college/ university, it is important to score well in the examination.
- Candidates must secure CUET minimum qualifying marks between 300-400 marks in the CUET 2024.
- The minimum CUET 2024 passing marks for Section I - Language will be around 80 to 90 each for A and B.
- Candidates must obtain between 160- 180 marks in both Sections I A and Section I B to pass CUET 2024 if a person has selected one language from both of them.

Approximate Classification of Passing Marks
Since there are no set passing scores for the CUET or fixed CUET minimum qualifying marks, candidates can estimate their scores using the information from the previous year's cutoff. This information is provided below:

CUET 2024 Maximum Passing Marks
CUET marking scheme is mandated by NTA. According to the CUET exam pattern, a candidate will receive five marks for each right answer and one mark will be subtracted for each incorrect answer. The NTA sets the maximum scores for each section of the CUET. To be granted admission to a desired college, candidates must secure cuet minimum qualifying marks. CUET 2024 Passing Marks: Section-wise
CUET 2024 has multiple sections including Section I, Section II & Section III. The detailed section-wise CUET passing marks 2024 are captured below:
Section I: Language
- Sections IA and IB of CUET 2024 allow candidates to select a maximum of three languages. The questions in this section are designed to evaluate the vocabulary and literary ability of the students. Candidates are provided with a time of 45 minutes to answer at least 40 questions out of 50 questions in the language of their preference.
- The minimum CUET 2024 passing marks in the language section are around 80-90 each. This implies that for sections IA and IB, students should collectively acquire a total of 160-180 marks. Reserved category students will be provided with a relaxation of 5%.
Section II: Domain-Specific Subjects
- Apart from the three language options, candidates can choose up to 6 domain subjects out of a total of 27. Candidates must attempt at least 40-50 questions on every domain test to qualify CUET. Every domain is limited to a time span of 45 minutes.
- The maximum mark an individual can obtain in this section is 300. To qualify for CUET 2024 Domain section, aspirants must score over 120 marks.
Section III: General Aptitude Exam
- The General Test for CUET will judge the General knowledge, quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning abilities of students.
- Students will be provided with an option of 75 questions out of which they will have to answer 60 questions in 60 minutes.
- Similar to Section II, candidates are expected to score at least more than 120 marks to pass this section.

Step 1: Download the CUET answer key and response sheet by logging into the official CUET UG portal.
Step 2: Find out how many questions were attempted overall on the CUET exam.
Step 3: To find the total number of right and wrong answers, use the CUET answer key.
Step 4: To determine the exam's raw score, consult the marking scheme.

Who Determines CUET Cutoff 2024?
All the institutions/ colleges that participate in CUET 2024 determine their individual cut-off scores. To secure admission to their desired institute, candidates are required to obtain equal or higher than the announced cut-off points to make it to the CUET merit list 2024 . The CUET cut-offs for each course and category will be different.
Apart from the CUET 2024 passing marks 60% marks in CUET 2024, students should score equal to or over the CUET cut off released by the desired university. The participating universities can select whether the CUET UG Cut-off 2024 will be expressed in the form of rankings, CUET passing marks 2024 or a percentile. Only aspirants who satisfy or exceed the CUET cut off 2024 marks will be shortlisted for admission.
What is Percentile Score in CUET?
CUET scores, or CUET marks, are the total highlights a candidate received on the exam based on the exam marking scheme. A candidate's performance in relation to other candidates who took the same or similar exam sessions is indicated by their percentile score on the CUET.

What is a normalized score in CUET?
Normalised score in CUET refers to calculating students' scores on the same scale when an exam for a specific subject is administered in multiple shifts. According to the CUET 2024 information bulletin, the NTA intends to conduct CUET exams for each subject (including general tests and languages) in a single shift, eliminating the need for a normalisation process. However, if some papers must be completed in multiple shifts due to unavoidable circumstances, the equi-percentile method will be used for normalisation.
