Dr. Pardeep Chhuneja Receives Lifetime Achievement Award in Apiculture - Dr. Pardeep Kumar Chhuneja, former Professor and Dean of Postgraduate Studies at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been awarded the 'Lifetime Achievement Award in Apiculture' by the Punjab Governor, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria. The award was presented during the inaugural function of World Bee Day at Kalkat Bhawan, Mohali, in recognition of Dr. Chhuneja's significant contributions to the field of Apiculture at various levels. The event was organized by Punjab's Kissan Vikas Chamber and included participation from beekeepers, farmers, and officials from various departments. Dr. Chhuneja has an extensive background in Apiculture, having worked on numerous research projects and published extensively in the field. He continues to contribute to Apiculture even after retirement, guiding various organizations and individuals in the industry.

Admission to the Ph.D. Programme (Vacant Seats) 2024-25 - Applications are invited to fill the vacant seats of Ph.D. programmes on an all-India basis for the academic session 2024-25. Interested candidates are advised to apply on the PAU website up to 06.06.2025 and with late fees up to 10.06.2025. The minimum qualification required is an Overall Credit Point Average (OCPA) of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master’s level in the respective or related discipline and an OCPA of 6.00 (out of 10.00) or 60% marks or equivalent at the Bachelor’s level. For reserved categories (SC/ST and BC/OBC), the minimum eligibility marks shall be 65% and 55% respectively at Master’s and Bachelor’s level. The entrance tests for various disciplines will be conducted on 20.06.2025 and 21.06.2025, with document verification/interview scheduled for 23.06.2025 and 24.06.2025.

Conduct of Practical Test for Office Assistant Position - The Practical Test of Computer Basics for the post of Office Assistant on a contractual basis will be conducted on 05/06/2025 at 9:30 AM in the UG Lab on the first floor of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, PAU. Candidates who qualify this exam will be considered for further processes. The list of candidates for the practical test will be uploaded shortly. Allotment of Grocery-cum-Stationery Shop in Hathi Complex, PAU, Ludhiana - Applications are invited from individuals/organizations for the allotment of a Grocery-cum-Stationery shop in Hathi Complex near Gate No. 4, PAU, Ludhiana. Last Date for Receipt of Application Forms Extended for Various UG & PG Programmes - The last date for submission of application forms for various UG & PG programmes has been extended. The new dates are as follows: - Last date of submission of application forms: 18.05.2025 - Last date of submission of application forms with late fees of Rs. 1000/-: 25.05.2025. Please note that the date of the Entrance test for the Agriculture Aptitude Test (AAT) scheduled on 25.05.2025 has been postponed, and the new date will be intimated later on the PAU website (www.pau.edu).

Revised Fee Structure for M.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - The annual fee for the M.Tech. program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Punjab Agricultural University has been revised to Rs. 94,500. This fee is applicable for the 2-year duration of the program.

Withdrawal of Post of Programmer (Reserved for SC Category) - The post of Programmer, as advertised in Advt. No. 02/2020, has been withdrawn due to some administrative reasons. This is for the information of all the concerned candidates.

Admission to Laboratory Day Care Centre - The Registration for admission to the Laboratory Day Care Centre will start from 12.05.2025 to 23.05.2025. The eligibility criteria for admission are as follows: 1. The child should be 2 years old as of 30.06.2025. 2. He/She should be toilet trained. Interested parents may collect the application form from the Department of Human Development and Family Studies between 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on payment of Rs.200/-.
