Anna University Selection Criteria for UG Courses

Selection on the basis of the Entrance Exam

• Admission in Anna University to B.Arch courses at Anna University is provided based on the scores secured in NATA or any other entrance exam approved by the Council of Architecture (COA).

Selection Based on TNEA Counselling

• Interested candidates must have to meet the minimum eligibility requirements for Anna University B.Tech admissions.
• Candidates have to register for TNEA couselling.
• Anna University Admission for the B.Tech course is offered on the basis of merit through TNEA counselling.
• Once a seat has been allotted during the seat allotment candidates have to complete the Anna University admission process by completing the document verification and fee payment process.

1. Release of the Merit List - After the application process is completed, Anna University releases a merit list for the finalised candidates.
2. Counselling Procedure - The candidates who are selected will have to participate in counselling.
3. Document verification & fee payment - After the seat is assigned to the candidates, they will have to visit the campus and then complete the document verification along with the payment of the fees.

Anna University Selection Criteria for PG Courses

Selection Based on Entrance Exams

1. Candidates aspiring to take admission to Anna University to ME/ M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan courses will have to take the Common Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG), and also participate in the counselling process.
2. One interested in being admitted to an MBA or MCA programme in Anna University must qualify Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) followed by the respective counselling.

For MBA/ MCA courses

• Qualify the TANCET Cutoff released by the responsible authority.
• Participate in the TANCET counselling.
• During the Anna University admission final stage, the candidates need to pay the fee and complete the document verification procedure.

For ME/ M.Tech, M.Arch, and M.Plan courses

• The candidates, who have been shortlisted based on the merit list must appear for the TANCET counselling.
• Candidates must submit the necessary paperwork and make payment for the relevant courses to complete the Anna University admissions process.
