The admissions for Mass Communication at ASCOM have started. CAPTEST 2022 will be conducted in an online interview. The application forms are available online, and for any information check out the article below.

CAPTEST 2022

The Amrita School of Communications (ASCOM), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts an entrance test - CAPTEST for undergraduate and postgraduate admission in Mass Communication. Every year, the institute organises this entrance exam. However, keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic, CAPTEST 2022 will be conducted in a form of an online interview.

CAPTEST 2022 is expected to be conducted in June. The application forms for the same has been released and are available on the official website. Candidates must fill out the application form before the last date, which has officially not been released but is expected to be the first week of June. Candidates can take admissions to the following courses by filling out the CAPTEST 2022 Application Form:

CAPTEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for any of the courses, candidates must check out the minimum eligibility criteria. Any candidate who does not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected from the admission process by the authorities. Here are the eligibility criteria for all the Mass Communication courses offered at ASCOM:

BA Mass Communication

Candidates applying for the BA Mass Communication course must have completed their Class 12 (10+2) or Higher Secondary with a minimum of 50% from a recognized board of education.

MA Mass Communication

Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in and stream with a minimum of 50% from a recognised university/institute to pursue MA in Mass Communication.

PG Diploma in Journalism

Applying Candidates must complete their Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% in any discipline.

CAPTEST 2022 Application Process

Here are the steps involved in filling out the CAP TEST 2022 Application Form

Step 1: Registration with Email

Firstly, as new users, candidates must register themselves on the official website using their email ID. Click on the tab indicating, New Candidate and fill out all necessary details. They will have to fill out their Name, Email ID, Mobile ID, and other details. Make sure to fill in the details correctly. They cannot be changed.

Step 2: Fill in the CAPTEST 2022 Application Form

After registration, candidates will have to fill out the CAPTEST 2022 Application form carefully. Make sure to enter all the necessary details. The application forms need to be filled out before the last date. Any forms submitted after the last date will not be accepted by the authorities.

Step 3: Payment of the CAPTEST 2022 Application Fee

To complete the application form, candidates must make a payment of INR 750 for the Application Fee. The payment will be online mode only.

Step 4: Submit Academic Details

Candidates will have to upload some academic records. Class 10, 12, and graduation marks. Certificates must be submitted (as applicable). Candidates will also have to upload Passport Size Photographs and Signatures.

Step 5: Submission of the CAPTEST 2022 Application Form

Finally, candidates can check the final preview of the application form. Then they may submit their application forms. After submission, candidates will receive a confirmation email.

CAPTEST 2022 Admission Process

Here are the stages that candidates will have to undergo to make it to the final selected list:

Stage 1

Fill out the CAPTEST 2022 Application Form

First, the stage is to fill out the CAPTEST application form successfully, to be considered for the next stages.

Stage 2

Appear for the Online Interview

Candidates will have to appear for an online interview. Based on the performance of the candidate in the interview, the candidates will be selected.

Stage 3

Check the CAPTEST results

The result of the online interview CAPTEST 2022 will be declared. Based on the results, candidates will have to take admissions.

Stage 4

Pay the Course fee to secure the seat

To secure seats, and confirm the admissions, candidates must pay the course fee of the desired course and submit any necessary documents.

Note: Since the CAPTEST 2022 will be conducted in Online Interviews so there are no test centres. Candidates will have to appear online. Earlier, the CAPTEST entrance exam was conducted at the Coimbatore campus.

CAPTEST 2022 Syllabus

Since CAPTEST 2022 will be conducted as an online Interview, the questions will be asked from various topics. Candidates will be asked about their educational background, General Awareness, likes and dislikes, and other questions. However, ASCOM has provided a few subjects on which candidates must prepare themselves to be questioned: English Grammar, Media and Advertising, Logical Reasoning, Lateral Thinking, Current Affairs, Creative Flexibility, and Critical Personalities.

CAPTEST 2022 Preparation Tips

CAPTEST 2022 will not have any written exam. It will be conducted as an online interview. Therefore, candidates must prepare their speaking skills and confidence. Here are some tips that will help in preparing well for the exam

  • Candidates must be prepared to face questions about their education background.
  • Prepare to face questions on the selected course.
  • Candidates may be asked about their career plans as well.
  • Study the current affairs and general knowledge well. Get a grasp on all the trending world/country affairs.

CAPTEST 2022 Admit Cards

The CAPTEST 2022 Admit Card will be released online on the official website of ASCOM. Candidates can download their admit cards to know details about the interview. The admit card will be released a few days before the CAPTEST exam. If there is any discrepancy in the admit card for the CAPTEST 2022 exam, candidates must immediately report it to the authorities.
