Are candidates with part-time bachelor's degree course eligible to apply?
Many colleges and courses do not accept distance learning or part-time bachelor's degree holders eligible for their courses. While NMAT itself does not have such a criteria, your college or course may not find it eligible.
Do I have to have work experience to apply for NMAT?
Work experience is not a mandatory criterion for the NMAT. However, candidates having 2 years or more work experience are given preference in admission to the full-time management courses.
Is there any reservation in the NMAT exam?
No. There is no reservation policy specified by GMAC for the NMAT exam. Individual colleges accepting NMAT scores define their own reservation policies.
Can international candidates apply for the NMAT exam?
Yes. International candidates who have completed a full-time undergraduate course of 3 or 4 years after 10 + 2 years of formal education and have scored 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university in their first attempt are eligible to apply for the NMAT exam.
Are scores in CGPA accepted by NMAT?
No. CGPA scores have to be converted to a percentage before submitting to NMAT. Such candidates will also be required to submit the documents on CGPA conversion issued by their university.
What is the minimum score required to be eligible for NMAT?
Candidates must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in their graduation course to be eligible for the NMAT exam.
Can final year students apply for NMAT?
Yes. Students in their final year can apply and appear for the exam. However, they can only be granted provisional admission until they satisfy the eligibility after the declaration of their final results.
What is the age limit for the NMAT exam?
There is no age limit. Candidates of all age can apply for NMAT as long as they meet the eligibility criteria for their course.
Can candidates from all streams apply for NMAT?
Yes. Candidates from all streams can register for the NMAT exam but some courses such as Pharma Management course are limited to candidates from relevant backgrounds only.
