The age limit criteria for SBI PO recruitment are fixed by the officials of the State Bank of India as per which:

  • Minimum age limit is 21 years
  • Maximum age limit is 30 years

SBI PO Age-Relaxation

  • 4% horizontal reservation has been provided to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
  • There is an age-relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/EXSM.
  • 3 years for OBC whereas 10 years for PWDs.

SBI PO Educational Qualification (31.12.2024)

  • Must be a graduate or have passed an equivalent examination from a recognized University or by the Central Government to meet the eligibility criteria of SBI PO.
  • Final semester candidates can also apply for SBI PO 2024 provided they produce their proof of passing the graduation at the time of document verification or as on the date mentioned by the examination authority in the official notification.
  • Candidates holding an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before August 31, 2024. CA candidates are also eligible to apply for SBI PO.

SBI PO Selection Procedure involves the following phases-

SBI PO selection procedure is divided into 3 different stages where the first stage of the preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. Thus, the final merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the Mains examination and interview.

  • The Biometric verification system is being launched to secure the SBI PO 2024 selection procedure.
  • For Biometric Verification, the bank will take your digital thumb impression to check your authenticity.
  • Any discrepancy in your biometric data may lead to rejection and legal actions against you.
  • Thus, it is advisable not to apply things like Mehandi (Henna), Chemical, Ink, etc. on your hands.

  • Revise from previous years’ question papers: You should focus on the revision of critical topics. They should put maximum effort into topics with maximum weightage in the SBI PO prelims exam.
  • Revise with short tutorials: A number of video tutorials are available online for bank exam preparation. Short video tutorials are very helpful for revision.
  • Build a section-wise preparation tips: There is a fixed time to attempt each section. In order to attempt the maximum number of questions, you must have a clear strategy to attempt each section. If you want to attempt the Reasoning Ability section then they must pre-decide in mind that what types of questions to solve first in this section. For eg: one can devote the first five minutes to puzzle-based questions, the next two minutes to direction-based questions, and so on.
  • Analyse mock tests: You should not include the sectional and full-length mock tests in your preparation strategy. While in the last phase of preparation, you should not attempt too many mock tests. Also, you must analyse your performance after every mock test. SBI PO 2024 Training

After completing the SBI PO Exam, all the selected candidates will join the branch as Junior Manager Stage – 1 for the Probation Period of 2 years. In the probation period, all the Junior Manager will go through immense training from their seniors to justify the designation and organization. The initial basic salary offered to an SBI Probationary Officer is Rs 41,960 (with 4 advanced increments). As per the revised Bipartite Settlement With four advance increments in the compensation size of a Probationary Officer is 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840. This means the PO will get a basic of Rs 36000 with an increment of Rs 1490 for the next 7 years, followed by a basic of Rs 46430 with an annual increment of Rs 1740 for the next two years and so on.  The maximum basic salary will be Rs 63840.
