Note: If a student does not meet CUET eligibility criteria 2025, their CUET application form will be rejected. Eligibility criteria for each university may differ. Detailed CUET Eligibility Criteria 2025

You must meet the basic CUET eligibility criteria 2025. According to the basic CUET 2025 eligibility criteria, applicants must have completed their 10+2 with a minimum overall score of 50%. If a student is from the SC/ST category, they must have 45% in the 10+2 class. The following are the detailed CUET eligibility criteria 2025:

Aspirants must be an Indian citizen

Age Criteria

No lower or upper age limit for the CUET UG exam. However, aspirants will have to satisfy the age criteria specified by the desired university.

Minimum Qualification

For the General category, the student must have completed her / his 10+2 class with a minimum of 50% from a recognised State or Central Board of Education. 

For the SC/ST category, the student must have passed the 10+2 class with a minimum of 45%.

Minimum Aggregate

No minimum aggregate has been issued by NTA. However, students must have passed class 12th or its equivalent exam.*

Note: * Some universities have set the minimum aggregate for CUET UG 2025 admission, then students are required to satisfy them. The aggregate can be different for each educational institute/university/college accepting CUET scores.

CUET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Reservation Criteria

Every Central University is required to follow the regulations set by the NTA. All applicants must check the CUET eligibility criteria 2025 reservation criteria before applying. Reservation for CUET 2025 eligibility criteria for SC/ST, OBC, PwD, and other categories are given below in the table.

Students belonging to the EWS category. They must have a valid SC certificate issued by the authority.

Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

5%

Students with a minimum of 40% disability are eligible for PwD reservation. They must submit a valid disability certificate issued by a competent medical authority while filling out the application.

Sports/ECA Quota

As per University norms

Students must provide certificates of participation and achievement in sports/ECA activities as specified by the university.

CUET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Degree-Wise

CUET UG 2025 is conducted for UG courses as well as Integrated Courses (UG+ PG). Candidates who are applying for the same courses must check the degree-wise CUET eligibility criteria 2025. CUET UG eligibility criteria 2025 can vary depending on the degree chosen by candidates. Aspirants must go through the table given below to get a rough idea about the CUET 2025 eligibility criteria as per their degree.

Integrated B.Sc B.Ed (Mathematics)

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream from a recognised board of education. Candidates must have studied Statistics/ Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics at 10+2 level.

B.Voc in Biomedical Sciences/ Integrated M.Sc in Biochemistry

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream from a recognised board of education.

Integrated M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Integrated B.Sc M.Sc

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream with Biology from a recognised board of education.

Integrated M.Sc in Chemistry/ Integrated B.Sc (Hons.) M.Sc

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream with Chemistry from a recognised board of education.

Integrated M.Sc in Computer Science/ Integrated M.C.A.

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in any stream from a recognised board of education. 

Integrated M.Sc in Economics

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam with English and Maths from a recognised board of education

B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in Science stream with Chemistry from a recognised board of education.
  • Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects in 10+2 along with Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Biology and Electronics

B.Voc

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognised board of education. Students with NSQF certification levels may also apply for the degree.
  • Students who have passed an equivalent exam from a polytechnic in the same field are also free to apply.

B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ B.Sc in Physics, BSc in Chemistry, and BSc in Mathematics

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Maths from a recognised board of education.

B.A in Social Science

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam in any stream

B.Sc in Textiles

  • Class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board of education.
