Do’s and Dont’s of WBJEE Counselling 2024: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will commence the WBJEE counselling 2024 tentatively from July 17, 2024 in the online mode. The counselling of WBJEE 2024 will be conducted in three rounds i.e. allotment round, upgradation round and mop-up round. • Make a list of the preferred colleges.

Before the commencement of the WBJEE Counselling 2024, the candidates should make a list of the colleges that they wish to take admission to. Doing this will help the candidates in opting for the correct colleges during the choice-filling process. Moreover, the students, while making the list must research the college, its faculty, facilities, courses provided, etc thoroughly and then filter out the colleges according to that.

• Keep all the required documents handy

During the procedure of counselling, the candidates will have to submit certain documents for verification. For that reason, they are advised to keep all the required documents along with them so as not to create any hassle at the last minute.

• Know about all the deadlines

The candidates must be fully aware of the deadlines of the counselling and make sure that they are not crossing any.

• Keep a positive spirit throughout

It is advised to the students to not be influenced by their peers and to choose the college/ course without any pressure. The college/ course should be chosen as per one’s preference.

• Don’t give any heed to the rumours

‘Rumours move faster than air’ they say. Before and during the counselling process, one should not give any heed to the rumours related to the same and cross-check every information with the official website only.

• Don’t ignore the rules

One must abide by every rule regarding WBJEE counselling. For ignoring any rule can lead to the cancellation of one’s application immediately.

New Changes in Counselling of WBJEE 2024

Applicants should be aware of the changes that WBJEEB brings forward for the WBJEE counselling 2024. The new changes are mentioned below.

• Aspirants having a valid score or rank in JEE Main or NATA will also have to pay a counselling fee of Rs 500 and register themselves for the counselling process 
• Every candidate has to register ONLY at the beginning of phase 1 mandatorily
• Candidates are required to enter their academic, personal and bank details during the registration process so that the refund amount (if any) is credited to their account
• Candidates should take note that all the necessary documents have to be uploaded in PDF format and any failure to do so will lead to disqualification of the candidate from the registration process
• Aspirants are required to be aware that the certificate verification process will be conducted in online mode (Virtual Reporting Centre) and they are not required to visit any reporting centre for verification
